Beijing Angelique,
maybe this case is a three-races-mix.
In some cases Japanese are supposed to have recessive genes of a race that entered at least the Japanese isles before the common East Asian races did. These people should be better compared with some American Indians like the Kennewick Man. However, the Japanese ones were called "Ainus" by the scientist which may be wrong. The last "Ainus" about whom I read lived on Hokkaido. They were racially in between whites and Asians and had light-brown eyes and hair. Thus,if "Ainu" genes mix with white genes maybe white phenotype is dominant over "Ainu".

OK, I'm full Chinese but am often mistaken for Filipino. Why? I don't know. My skin is more prone to being tanned than most Chinese people which means i'm kind of dark. And the only real obvious facial feature that resembles anything Chinese are my slanted eyes and yet, I still get mistaken for Filipino. I find it amusing so don't think I'm doggin on the Filipinos. 80% of my friends are Filipinos. But anyway, I'm nowhere close to the topic at hand. However, I was just trying to make the point that just because you're Asian, doesnt mean you cant or are unable to have features inconsistant with your pre-assumed cultural genetic background. It's been mentioned by previous posters that many hapas dont even look remotely Asian and/or some even has hair and eye colors other than the expected dark brown. It's all genetics, people. You can't control it. What you get is what you get. I, for one, am crazy about hapas. Now don't get me wrong. Although most hapas are friggin hot, there are those few that don't. But either way, I ain't dissin hapas. They're just as unique as every Asian in North America. Face the fact! We're still considered minorities. We cant be pressing down on hapas when we too are being pressed down. We are being no better and why fight our own people? Do you really think the Asian parent of that hapa would have faith in us? That would be a lousy way to show our strength and pride.

Hi Eurasian Girl:
"So if you look more "white" then that is the box you would check."
actually i think it's more up to the person isnt it? like the person would check the box which they feel more of personally. it doesnt have to be looks. i just put white too and then i put asian.. i PREFER to not answer becuz i don't think race should matter neway! they usually don't force u. yeh it's all about the best of both worlds!
to jay: r u cute? how old r u? alotta hapa guys r cute n ther alot at my school.
evryone: has neone actually seen a completely chinese person w/ light eyes tho? oh n he cataracts thing. old ppl get cataracts (eye disease) which makes their eyes kinda milky which could look blue or hazel or sumthing.

Most people think I'm either Hispanic or some kind of South American (Brazilian?) chick, and it's funny because racially I'm so far from that particular part of the world (I have a quarter French blood in me). Hispanic guys come up to me and rattle off a long string of Spanish and I just smile and shrugg, 'cause I haven't a clue! No hablo espanol, no comprendo either.
Does Anybody else have that problem?

I think I'll stick to my Hawaii and Malaysian Hapa/Eurasian women.
I'll consider a visit to the Siberia hapa homeland in the far future. As for Texas hapa women, I've given up.
They're too hard to find and the few that I've met are either teenage mothers, too tall/big-sized, or SLUTS & WHORES.
Jay... the Hapa Historian,
I sense some intense women hatred here. Nonetheless, I know how you feel. PS. Do you have any flashbacks about being the victim of a gay bashing????
