hm...interesting...I see that in indonesia, malayisa, philippines, hapa are generally favored in the entertainment industry. While in Japan, Korea, China, Asian entertainers seem to have much, yes, much more popularity than hapa stars. And It does seem to be true.

I think that is an indication of the much more stronger ethnic pride that East Asians have. Sure, there are still some cracks in these countries self-identity (inferiority complexes), but consider that East Asian nations were not colonized by Western power for long, as opposed to many SE Asian nations that were, and have had significant illicit genetic infiltrations by their conquerors. I"m not saying that SE aren't proud of who they are, so please dont flame me. I'm just saying that because that is the way history happened, SE asians are more likely to try to embrace race-mixing, whereas East Asians tend to not give way.
