Seaman,

Pathans are the same as Pushtuns in Afghanistan? Am I correct?

Pushtuns are an Iranoid people, so that is why they are more fair compared to other Pakistanis and Indians. Some can even look more blonde and Nordic compared to the real Farsi Iranians (because of less mixing with Arabs and Turks).

Is it true that most famous actresses in India and Pakistan are Pathan?

It so happened that I used to date tall guys/the guys I dated were tall. I'm either 4'11 or 5'0. But I ALWAYS wear these large high heels (not the stilleto ones, but the big clunky ones) so I guess they made me 5'2/5'3. Whenever I showed someone my REAL height they'd be totally shocked. I always liked tall guys. The guys I went out with range from 5'11-6'2. But my sister told me we look funny together, if the guy is very tall and the girl is short. At first I scoffed but later on, I sort of realized she just may be right. Now I'm dating a guy who's 5'8/5'9 and I think that is probably better. I wish I was taller, but of course that's not possible. So I say to myself, at least I'm not overweight. but it would TOTALLY make me sad if I was short AND fat.

Somewhere Dude,

I actually would want a guy to be, ideally, somewhere between 5'4 to 5'7, 5'8 at the most. I feel much more comfortable with shorter guys.

The issue is, it seems that lots of these shorter guys have a problem with my height. Maybe they want a girl who is around 5'3 or 5'4 so that they're kids' height won't be pulled down by a really short girl like me. From my experiences, a lot of Asian guys seem to feel this way. It's understandable though.

Interestingly enough, it's these skinny, tall kind of geeky white guys who seem to like me. I mean, I'm flattered, but I think it's just a fetish. Or maybe they feel powerful and confident, and like a "real man" around me because I'm so small. And the other thing is, old white guys seem to hit on me thinking that I'll actually be interested in them...they're like 40...which is double my age! They also talk to me like I'm a little girl who can't speak English or something.

The reason why I posted that question earlier was because I am wondering whether any shorter young asian guys would go for a girl of my height. I am kinda sick of the old white guys.

Very Short Chinese Girl,
if you're cute, height doesn't matter!

Very Short Chinese Girl,

I'm not that tall myself (5'2) and I used to hang out with this guy who was 6'4 or something way up there. At first I thought height wouldn't really matter, but I started noticing that when we were out together he seemed somewhat embarassed to be walking with me (like he'd make his strides all big so I would have to hurry to catch up with him). After a while, it got annoying. Plus, it's not that pleasant when you have to look up just to talk to the other person. When I talked to him, I had to seriously tip my head backwards and stare up. It was quite awkward.

So now, I'm thinking a guy around 5'5 to 5'8 would be just fine.

Tall, short we can't really control how high we are, just how wide we are!!

Carlos,

True many Punajabis are big folk. They tend to be fair skinned, barrel chested and strong as well. For example..Naveen Andrews in the English Patient does not look like a Sikh ( strictly Punjabi Indians). He looked more like a central or South Indian guy with a turban and beard. Most Sikhs are fair skinned tall and burly. A better example of a Sikh would be Kabir Bedi in James Bond's Octopussy.
But you are wrong about one small factoid. Half of Punjab also lies in Pakistan and even in that country they are known for their girth. Although the tallest and fairest and many say the best looking of Pakistan are the Pathans. They usually don't possess the mass Punjabis do but are quite lean, strong and fierce.

I'm a 4'11.5" Chinese girl too (Like "Very Short Chinese Girl")

I don't think height has ever been an issue for me. I only care that I'm not taller than him in my heels (not a difficult task at my height). I've dated Asian dudes from 5'4" to 6'3". It's all in your head. All my Asian (Chinese, Taiwanese, Filipina and Korean) galpals have dated Asian guys in all various heights. It doesn't matter. I think it's a natural instinct that we want our offspring to be taller and stronger than us, but that's tied up in genetics too. There's a limit to how tall our genetic code will allow, but all that crap about Aryan superiority tied to height - what kind a of sh*t is that? For the record, I don't date white guys, mostly because all the white guys I come across have Asian fetishes and think Asian girls are tigers in bed. Hellooo - get over it.
To all the Asian dudes out there, you guys rock. :-)
