So anyone want to get a quick overview on chinese people?Cause china is large that consists many groups.

Going down provinces!( I wont say all...it is tiring)

Beijing Shi : Tall han people with whitish to ruddy skin.less chance of getting double eyelid but many do.Emphasis on tall!

Tianjin Shi :Located south of beijing.
White skin types with tall people.About same as beijing shi

Shandong:Generally tall and stocky with tired eyes .

Nei Mongol and Manchuria:
Sort of undeveloped korean people.Shorter than koreans, darker than koreans, but have some resemblance to them.Just shove these people in a city and make them live for 2000 years plus interbreed with japanese people and you get korean!

Guangdong:More chance of double eyelids, darker skin, with females quite white*if from city* ANd not as tall as northern counterparts.

Shanghai Shi:Average in height, very white, refreshing eyes(does not sag)
Is considered some of the most beautiful people in china. Small lips.

Hunan or yunan(located in south west)
Much darker and shorter looking like tibetans or thai. Non Han I bet!

Xinjiang desert: Many caucasian blood and mixed races.

This is just some of the many people you will find.Dont say chinese are all one people!

Anyone want my 3 cents?Lol first time i used that term.

I'm from hongkong and 6ft. Judging by my observations of hongkong people the old generation are very short, and my parents generation with women around 5'3 and men 5'9.The new generation of hong kong seem to be very tall, they even tower over me!*well some* (note..I am 19)

When I was younger I asked my grandmother and parents why the new generation are so tall. They said it is because of the improved nutrition.Maybe thats correct you know?
Ching dynasty was one of our worst dynasties, where diseases swept the lands and made people skinny monkeys.
In the tang dynasty, there is a saying which shocked me.." it says...to be brave and handsome is to be 7ft"
I thought maybe a chinese ft is smaller...well judging from a ching dynasty measurment is it larger than a western ft.Tang and ching probably used the same measurements because of the chin emperor uniting china and making a lasting effect.

Now you say 7ft and over?now maybe that's a bit exaggerated.but you do get a sense of chinese people's height.

Also a while back in a post be someone they said shandong are related to cauc's that's why they are tall, I've seen many shandong people and they on average are way taller than many cauc's, they are about the height of beijing people, but only fatter and more meaty.
Also!

Qiren: are you sure tibetans are tall?I see them as skinny malaysian monkeys!*chinese term*
I also saw a documentary with my idol kelly chen in nei mongoll, she was taller than so many mongolians at 5'8
and there was this beijing translator who was like 6'3 .WOw I am amazed by northern beijing people.
I also dont like how they say koreans and chinese have same blood or manchus and mongols with chinese...let's all seperate them!

CHinese is chinese also seperated to each province(every province has own height and look)

Koreans are koreans
Manchus are manchus
Xin's are xin's

MK,

In China, people of Manchu and Korean descent are on the average 4 inches shorter than northern Han. You find tall people not only in the northeastern parts of China, but also in the northwest. They have no Tungusic influences west of Hebei. The tallest groups in China are the northern Han and Lhasa Tibetans. Followed by Turkic people in Xinjiang. Then, the Manchus and Koreans.

Liaotung, Hebei (Beijing) and Shandong were first settled by the Dong-i (Tunguz). You are correct on this part. Confucius made mention of this people during the Warring States Period (700 BCs-200 BCs). Confucius belonged to the state of Chi in Shandong. The Chi had annexed this state from the Tunguz during the Chou Dynasty era. Also, in western Shandong, the kingdom of Lu was not as Han in race as once presumed. Caucasoid bodies have been unearthed in the Lingzi district of that kingdom dating from the times of the Warring States Period.

Liaotung was part of China since the Shang Dynasty. In 1122 BC, this dynasty was overthrown by the Chou. But, a surviving prince (Kija) of the Shang was pardoned by the Chou and released from prison confinement and allowed to be exiled with 3 other princes to the east. Some of them went to Siberia and may have crossed over to the Americas as one Navajo tribe (NaDene) has structural similarities with the Sino-Tibetan language. But, Kija himself with 5,000 of his followers settled in Korea amongst the Dong-i (Tunguz) and took over their throne from the Tangun Korean people. The Chou king allowed him to return every year to make a pilgrimmage to his deceased Shang ancestral imperial graves. He did this for 12 years until he saw that this former capital of the Shangs was largely desolate and abadoned. He never returned to China are remained to rule in Korea. He named Corea "Chosun, land of the morning calm." Around the Warring States Period, the kingdom of Yen (a Chou vassal) took over Liaotung from Kija's descendants and from then on Liaotung has always been Chinese territory although the people living there are mixed Han-Korean ancestry no matter what language they later spoked and what culture they adopted. Kija's line in Korea ended in 193 BC, when Wiman (a Yen Chinese general) crossed over with a band of fugitive Chinese, and took over the Corean throne after the Yen kingdom in China was conquered by the Qin Dynasty. Kija's line continued in the south of Korea (Mahan kingdom) until 9 BC. Later, the Han Dynasty (200 BCs-220 AD) brought lots of Chinese settlers to Korea (in particular its northern parts and eastern coasts). From 1122 BC to 9 BC, Korea had been ruled by descendants of China's ancient Shang line and remnants of the Yen. To say that all Koreans have some Han Chinese blood is ludicrous, but to say none have it is just denial of simple fact and history. Korea was different from the Tunguz and Malgal Manchus. It was very Sinicized from a very early date in its history. Even when the Mongols and Manchus attacked Liaotung, they could not differentiate the Hans from the Koreans. During the Yuan Mongol rule in China, Koreans and northern Han Chinese were grouped in the same ethnic category. Koreans and northern Han can tell each other apart, but to the Mongols, they looked more similar probably because of height being taller than the Mongols.
