Ghulam Shabbir(Pakistan, 7'8)
Rodhouane Charbib (Tunisia, 7'9)

BTW, Tunisia is in northern Africa. I've seen a picture of Rodhouane Charbib, he is arabic, like the Libyans and Moroccans.

So we have three major groups of people, the Asians, the Africans, and the Europeans.

The tallest of the Asians are:
7'9" Ri Myong Hun (East Asian)
7'6" Yao Ming (East Asian)
7'8" Ghulam Shabbir (Central Asian)

The tallest of the Africans are:
7'9" Rodhouane Charbib (Arab African)
7'7" Minute Bol (Black African, former NBA player)

And guess what? The Europeans come out as the shortest of all (tallest 7'6" Shawn Bradley), when it comes to living proof of genetic potential in height.

Qiren:
I don't necessarily disagree. Ultimately, it's speculation, and national historians perhaps have their bias and agendas that add to the uncertainty.

Thomas:
It's a pretty established fact by now that milk, and dairy products as a whole, are not very good for you (do an internet search). One can get plenty of proteins from other foods.

The listing of various vitamins and minerals on the carton of milk is not indicative of its overall health benefits. Children's cereal like Coco Puffs also contain lots of nutrients. Look at the label on candy, chocolate and donuts. They also contain vitamins and minerals.

If you must drink milk, you should try soy-milk. Some soy milks I've tried tastes nearly like dairy milk.

By the way, just because milk reduces body fat and makes you lean doesn't make it a good food -- I mean, eating nothing but protein foods will make you lose weight, but that'll kill you in the long run.

Don't tell me you actually think the typical American diet is a healthy one..

But of course Asian diet contains pork, beef, chicken etc.. but it's traditionally in smaller quantities, as it should be.

I was being a little facetious with my "tofu and vegetable" comment. But the gist of the comment is true, though.

You're Chinese and never had tofu? You must be kidding.

I'm not a vegetarian. I eat plenty of meat products (perhaps too much), and once in a while, I even have pizza and other fast foods -- although certainly not as much as the typical American. But when I do, I consider it "candy-food", not "real food". While they may taste very good, I also keep in mind that they're not particularly good for me.

Vegetables won't drive you down. You don't really believe that, do you?

And if there's a lot of fat in your chinese food -- well, just stop using so much oil.

THomas.

That guy doesn't like milk because he is an eco terrorist. He does not like people consuming animal products. ANd he has a misconception of asians eating only rice and vegetables. He think we live in tribal societies and eat those unprepared foods. HEY, had chinese food today...meat!
U want to grow taller? Eat like a wealthy chinese man from beijing.

"-Ghulam Shabbir(Pakistan, 7'8)(non NBA)"

Guess what? Pakistan is part of Asia. Therefore, Ghulam is ASIAN, and at 7'8", that makes him taller than the tallest of the Europeans and white Americans in the world.

Thanks for enlightening us all.
