Apparently, some whites have great trouble dealing with the reality that Asians are catching up in height, and even suppassing the Europeans in some cases (or will soon). Average height for Europeans have been relatively constant for the past 30 years or so, and show no signs of increasing.
On the other hand, Asians have significantly grown in height within just the past 10 years. I visited South Korea in 1985 and 1993. In 1985, the men were typically around 5'5" to 5'7", and the tallest of them all were like 5'9" or 5'10". In 1993, the men averaged around 5'7" to 5'9". I saw a handful around 6 feet tall, and one guy like 6'3" and heavy set. People who visited South Korea within the past few years comment on how tall they are, around 5'10" on average.
Ten years ago, there were no 7-foot East Asians who could match up against the giants of the NBA. Now there is Wang Zhizhi, and Yao Ming should be eligible this summer for the NBA draft.
The NBA discovered 18 year old Tang Zhengdong from China last summer during a basketball scouting preview game; he is 7'1" and 270 pounds. China has more giants than just Wang and Yao, and you'll be seeing more 7-footers in the future.

Milk not good for you??? Sorry to break it to you vegans but that wasn't soy drippin out your mama's breasts. As far as research is concerned, it is important to know who is doing this research. Most anti-milk and egg campaigns have their hands deep in soy money.

well whiteboy, good job on naming a bunch of south eastern europeans, middle easterners, and africans. But where are the white boys?
the average height of northern europeans is actually just a bit over 5'10. The Dutch, who are not scandinavians or Anglo Saxons, are the tallest of the Europeans, with an average height of 6'0. But then again, with so few people in a country so tiny, it hardly speaks for Europe as a whole. Interestingly enough, during the early nineteenth century, the tallest people in the world were the Indians on the great plains, with an average height of just over 5'8. Not much nowadays, and this is a tribute to nutrition having at least partially to do with the height of an individual. And Europe, as a whole, still has a greater ability to provide proper nutrition to its population than China and most other Asian nations. Ultimately, I believe we'll start seeing an ever increasing population of tall Asian Americans as more Asians arrive, continuiing their vertical expansion, the same progress experienced by the whites upon establishing America and well into the 20th century. Are Asians short? some are, but some are also quite tall. It's rather narrow-minded for one to claim the right to apply a certain characteristic to all members of a group on the basis of a single or a small group of individuals.

I think we should stop responing to that stupid ass white racist ..he just can't stand the thought of asian people being taller than whites so he has to voice his "opinion" but we sure put him in his place....I meet people like him everyday ..some think that cuz i am 5-9" and 164lbs they can racially abuse me it's only when i put my fist in their faces they realise they had made a mistake ....sometimes violence is the only answer i be damn if a whiteboy is gonna call me a chink !

To MK
"It's a pretty established fact by now that milk, and dairy products as a whole, are not very good for you (do an internet search"
hmm...I won't disagree here. But to let everyone know, if your going to drink milk you have to drink it warm(bring to boil), by itself(don't drink while eating other foods), at most 1 cup a day, and most importantly with all the fat leff intact(drink whole milk).
For some reason the fat in the milk is crucial for milk to be nontoxic. strange? I think so also.

Chiu.
Why are u still thinking that chinese, ( u stated asian, but if we talk chinese) eat tofu and vedgetables? You must be caucasian or something. The chinese are probably the highest consumers of animal product per person ,definitely in the ancient times and now they do also. Why is it that u think we only eat tofu and vedgetables?TOfu is a poor man's dish in china buddy. We serve it at ceremonies of dead people.SHEEESH.Vedgetable is a good food stuff , and we eat it along with meat, plus rice. And americans dont always have steak and potatoes every night. They might have mac n cheese.
Your stereotyping our food damn IT!

THat is really good what u said. The chinese have more potential to be taller than any other race on earth, except for africans and such. When the chinese eat lots during prosperous dynasties, they were considerable taller. The caucasians have surely met their maximum or almost to maximum height. The chinese have shrank and only began to grow taller these days.Think about it ( what B.Lee said )
