Tim & Mr. Hann:

1. According to the 2000 Census, Sugar Land, Katy and Ft. Bend County have around 10-11% Asian American, including Pacific Islanders.

2. Katy is by no means majority White. Have you ever been to the MPC known as Cinco Ranch? There are a couple of neighborhoods in there that are 50-80% Asian American. Parts of Barker/Cypress and the Nothern parts of Katy are about 70/30 White/Asian.

3. As far as "Whitewashed" is concerned, I don't consider Asian American teens/young adults who speak English with a Houstonian, Southern, Texas or Generic American Accent to be "Whitewashed." I don't consider Asian Americans who like to watch Football or Baseball to be "Whitewashed" either. Considering that many of these teens/young adults do understand their native language--you see their parents speak to them in Vietnamese/Cantonese/Mandarin & they reply in English, it shows they do understand them, even if they are more comfortable in English. These people also can eat with chopsticks and will eat all kinds of Asian foodsl, even if some non-Asians consider them to be "smelly." I think you have "Whitewashed" and "American acculterated" confused, bud.

Andrew...Sugar Land is more like 25% Asian. And nothing's wrong with Katy. All of the Asian kids are whitewashed.

what kind of asians are in Katy? white-washed ones or typical asian? i have never heard of any asian from around houston, alief or sugarland talk about going to Katy to hangout or party. everyone i know that has gone to katymills mall said they gotten stared at all funny. please explain to me and the other asian how Katy is a good place for us.

You can find a bunch of Hapa gals/women in Alief, Katy and especially SUGAR LAND. The population is 11.5% Asian in Ft Bend County--plenty o' cuties to go around. Just don't go after my sisters!!!

I saw that incident on the news night before last. That was very, very sad. I don't know what the details are that led up to it, but it is a tragedy for the Viet-American community in Houston, as well as for the city of Houston at large.

In the past two weeks in the Housotn area, we have had a woman murder her husband by running him over three times with a car and have had the owner of a Vietnamese Restaurant on Beechnut's Little Saigon area shoot his wife and two other people. Both were apparently over adultery--alleged or otherwise. This really stinks.

If you can't stay married, then get a divorce, be civil about it and don't kill your spouse over it. It is not worth the pain it causes families and the community at large. It's not worth hurting your kids, your family friends and ruining what life you have left.

Try going to Treasures club for a lunch buffet. The lunch is like $3.00 and you have to buy something to drink either water, alcohol, etc. which adds $5.00. This comes out to $8.00. If u want to tip, then add in $2.00. So a total of $10.00 which is not bad and cheaper than Hooters. I haven't been to Treasures in about a year, but i'm sure the Lunch buffet hasn't changed much. I went to Hooters a few months ago and my bill ended up being $13.00.
