jackson boys all got arrested in the mid-90's during that one shooting in s.f. chinatown. they all got charged with prior crimes. hop sing has fallen apart since way back when. most of the real o.g. hop sings are IT engineers and raising their own families now. never heard of toi san jai. all that is left are little kiddie wannabes. sorry, kid, but it's true.

I am considering a move to the LA area. I was thinking the San Fernando Valley, because I went there once and I liked it. However, I don't know if it's a good place for Asians to live in or not. I heard that there were a lot of skinheads and Neo-Nazis there. Is that true? What are good places for Asians to live?

Y'all better recognize. For all you haters that don't know, Wah Ching was founded in the Bay Area, so fools who claim that it's an LA gang better recognize. The only reason they aren't big up in the Bay anymore is because Jackson Street Boyz and Toi San Jai kicked them out. Fukienese Dragon's in NYC? Hahahaha... looks like someone has been watching too much of The Corruptor. What's your dai lo's name? Bobby Vu? hahaha
Toi San Jai    Sunday, October 21, 2001 at 01:38:11 (PDT)
Fukienese dragon, that's a laugh! What's the point when you have to dare people to come into your territory? What kind of a gangsta is that? Y'all ain't jack when it comes to asian gangs in Cali. Asian G's in Cali are real G's. They claim no territory, they all over the place. They got to deal with the blacks, the mescans, the whites, not like you pussies in your weenie towns.

Agreed, North San Gabriel and North Alhambra are pretty much extensions of San Marino. Safe, clean and nice but getting more and more expensive by the day. Better to just buy in South San Marino below Huntington Drive (Sub Marino) Lol for schools. Too bad you still have to send your kids to their high schools. Old Town Pasadena is too much fun -it's now known as the cleaner version of West Los Angeles - A.K.A. Westwood East. Have fun kids.

How about North SAN GABRIEL, CA and North ALHAMBRA? These are excellent communities just south of SAN MARINO. They have beautiful homes, and parks as well as a very high asian population. The Northern parts of these cities are much nicer than the Southern parts. Also, They are very close to asian shopping centers, fine restaurants, and not too far from MONTEREY PARK and LA.

I was born and raised in LA all my life and I gotta say the area with the most asians is the SGV area which include rosemead, alhambra, monterey park, el monte, san gabriel and a few others in the SG Valley, its infested with gangs and thats the problem.
LA LA    Sunday, September 30, 2001 at 23:21:26 (PDT)
How about Mid-city? I dunno, maybe it's just me, cuz I like urban areas. People won't bother you because you're Asian Or, Hacienda Heights or La Puente. More in the suburbs, but still has a nice quiet yet urban feel with lots of asians to it. Actually, I still like the Valley. The San Fernando Valley. (How could you not like your hometown?) There are a significant number of Asians there. The Valley just has a tranquil and gritty urban feel to it in the night. Plus, Mexican food is soooo good!!!

Midtown LA is all infested with asian gangs drugs and shootings. These areas include rosemead monterey park alhambra san gabriel etc. i had to move out of the area because my house got shot up stupidly mistaken for another rival gang house.

Hi, My family and I have just moved this summer from Arcadia to Glendora. I now am a sophomore at Glendora High School. Let me say that i am glad i moved here! Glendora city is safe and there are plenty of nice people! GHS is a GREAT HS! There are many white and asian people here, mostly japanese and chinese. I still love arcadia but i now love glendora too!

I have to say south central LA is the safest and best place for asians . Maybe a little traffic , but theres alot of asian restuarants and shopping centers, It's pretty nice.

WALNUT, CA and GLENDORA, CA are the best places. They have lots of beutiful newer AFFORDABLE homes, VERY good school districts, and WALNUT has an Asian majority. These are clean and safe places.
SGV guy    Friday, September 07, 2001 at 20:58:08 (PDT)
Just because a city has TONS of Asians, that by no means signifies that it's a good city for Asians. In some instances it can mean that it's an urban slum. Furthermore, $1 million houses in BEAUTIFUL Newport Beach is of the norm. Angelino, where are you from? I've NEVER in my life heard of Nazi lowriders in Newport Beach or Costa Mesa. Here's a little update- we're not in the South.
Mixed Breed    Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at 13:37:20 (PDT)
Monterey Park and ALhambra are not nice areas to live. Those 2 cities are second Chinatowns. ie: crime infested and dirty. Walnut is a good area to live. I don't think it has any secret problems.
CowCow    Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at 13:44:04 (PDT)
Newport Beach a dump? I find that funny. Can you even afford Newport Beach? Anaheim is a very nice palce. It's a tourist area since Disneyland is there.
Duh?    Sunday, August 26, 2001 at 19:40:28 (PDT)
How about living in Hollywood? Is it true there's a lot of drug dealers, prostitutes, and homos in that area? What is the ethnic breakdown there?
Stuck in Arizona    Sunday, August 26, 2001 at 16:12:52 (PDT)
What do you guys think about Walnut, CA. Is it nice? What kind of people live there? It seems nice, but I am not sure about the schools, location, etc. Is it as nice as South Pasadena or Arcadia or does it have some secret problems? How is it in relation to Glendora, San Dimas or Chino Hills?
Walnut, CA?    Sunday, August 26, 2001 at 15:45:51 (PDT)
Two excellent cities with very high Asian populations are:
ALHAMBRA (48% Asian, about 41,000)
MONTEREY PARK (62% Asian, over 37,000)
From SGV    Saturday, August 25, 2001 at 20:51:42 (PDT)
id say the more higher asian population is, the more chance it will have asian gangs.
