WHAT YOU SAY

behind closed doors,
u still have a bf? why dont u just dump your bf if u loved your sabunim?
and now your thinking of ending it with your sabunim. you'd best make a decision for the good of all those involved.
AC Dropout (and others who faced racial abuse),
I was down at the beach last week and on the way back, a 14yr old girl came up to one of us and was shouting "get out of my country!" like WTF! who the hell is she? i wanted to kill her and her friends aswell. i had so much rage in me, i wanted to destroy them all. but we all stayed calm and almost laughed it off.
Just wanted to know what your reactions would have been, and whether your martial arts has taught u to become a killer or a reasponsible person?

Asian in America,
it's often better not to fight back. Some (younger) martial artists don't have the maturity to judge whether an attack was severe or not.
"Most whites are cowards..." :
all civilised people are lazy cowards. That's a part of human nature in general.First learn to suffer adequately. Then fight back if you've reached a state of emotionlessness.(But don't run amok.)

Did anybody see the Bruce Lee special of the Game of death on the AMC channel?
They did the previously lost segments on the Game of Death that was edited out or not place in the movie directed by Robert Clouse in the movie by the same name. I guess that Robert Clouse was bigoted against Bruce or other Chinese films in general so he probably felt that the missing pieces were not that important to keep. Leave it to a white man to make an Asian film!
Anyway, it was interesting to see the missing parts in its entirety with Bruce do more and more complicated moves that his other ones. I guess his martial arts movies was getting more and more stylized instead of simplier moves like in his first movie the BIG BOSS.
I like the segments when they talked about Bruces's home movies showing some fights in the rooftops of Hong Kong and his full armour gear exhibitions demonstrations. He did some cocky talking and give a lot of "what are you a dumb s***?" look to alot of the people in his acting gigs which I thought was funny. Like putting the actor James Francisco in a head lock and telling him "Now what can you do?" Giving me a damn white boy look and telling him to Bite instead!
Most of Bruces moves does stem from Wing Chun and with the combination of kickboxing, he was able to form a better Wing Chun system or whatever he could form together. Jeet kune do is not rocket science and to combine a style with boxing and kicking was only natural.
In fact alot of western teachers only know boxing or wrestling and to combine it with a Asian martial arts made their martial art more efficient and practical because of the complexity and myriad nature of Asian martial arts. Therefore if you want to make your martial arts more combat oriented you still need to put on the gloves like a boxer and have it out.

"there are many pockets of racism wheither subtle or overt."
AM Truth,
The key to psychological success in America is to be clear on one issue: the toxic racism is not over racism in America, but "subtle racism." I recommend that you learn how to fight back each time you encounter a series of subtle racist attacks directed against you. Most whites in America are cowards and won't attack you overtly, but are taught to slap you in a subtle form. But, a message of hate and an anal attempt at controlling another human being is wrong, and the best remedy is to fight back.
Be optimistic. More and more Asians in America are learning that whites respect power. A kick in the ass gets results.

"and what about that white cop punching that kid on handcuffs caught on video ..."
K.rae,
That's white man's version of a "level playing field." Anything else is called "reverse discrimination" by whites.

[Let's get the discussion back on topic. You can continue this conversation on the Extramarital Affairs page. --Ed]
AC Dropout,
My sabunim told me that noone is to find out about us. Especially his wife. I don't think he would ever run away with me. He thinks I'm way too young, and I am not asian (no I am not white) He told me that he has invested 37 years of marriage to his wife. Yet, he is unhappy with their sex life. He bought me a really cool television, a cell phone, a car and he gave me two credit cards. I told him that I don't want his money, I am not some whore. He told me he is just trying to be my friend. I am afraid of how this will affect everything. He told me not to tell anyone about this or it will be trouble. I sometimes think we should end it and I have told him. He said that he did not want to end it.
My boyfriend cannot find out about this either, he would be so furious. He already hates taekwondo. Hes into kung fu.
