WHAT YOU SAY

one old white man: ( I like that)
Anyway, what you were looking at was the "Protect Yourself" video with that Danny Bonaduce guy from the Partridge Family show.
I brought the videos too thinking that It was some kind of secret art but all it was was him 'Master TAI' doing simple hits like finger spears and heel of palm strikes to the throat and nose... knee strikes and heel stomps to well you should know the targets now.
What he terms to have that killer instinct is to imagine that a love one is being attacked and what would you do then, that he claims help instill the killer instinct in you. Some truth in it but you don't want to just have your adrenals get wound up all the time not good to your body, instead you should be aware, loose and relaxed at all times because a relaxed body is a faster body.
He also was hard to understand because he speaks choppy English but since I'm asian as well, I was able to understand what he was talking about. He thinks faster that he speaks so he comes out even more mumble jumble. He should have his Hapa sons translate or explain some of the lessons but since it is his videos it is understandable.
At the time when I ordered it, the telemarketer said that he also has a Tai Chi Video I was tempted but decided not to, imagine how crappy these videos were I wouldn't want to know how the Tai Chi video would fare.
Overall, I think these vids are a waste and I've gotten better information and knowledge from other books and videos.
Chinese martial arts is not rocket science and the reason why it is so confusing and complex is because the way the society as been run for centuries. Knowledge has to be gained and during those times when it was obtained it was similar to carrying a loaded handgun all the time. Thus the deception and the brush off from the masters, you would want to be responsible for a armed monkey with a bazooka.
Add also to the fact that these masters try to explain scientific physics with religious or metaphysical terms and it is up to the insightful student to first decepher the teachings and then make it useful to themselves.
The next time you have some master say you must use Chi power to emit your force. Say this to them "Oh, you mean you must breathe in first and then exhale and hit at the same time to maximize your power?"
get it?

JTUK,
The final ingredient of the making of a good fighting mentality. Brooding, twisted hate.
For me it was asian gangs and later a more productive stinct in competitive olympic TKD sparring.
Just spar a lot, you begin to figure out a lot people aren't worth your time once you reach a certain level.
You don't need claws and super healing powers to beat people up. I never had those and beat people up.
Just tuck the experience in the back of your mind somewhere and use it as a mind game when you really need it. Something to give you that extra oof when your sparring and down on points. Or when you need to take on 8 white guys by yourself.
All good fighters keep a little F***ed up pent up frustration somewhere, and let it out at the right times. That how you become productive.

one old white man,
Not true. If it was you think China would have lost the war to imperal Europe and USA back in the 19th century.

JTUK,
ask the ethnologist. In terms of the original tribal martial arts there's neither anything dark nor evil.
I don't know about spider man or x men stories. But in ancient times people caught animals, imitated their moves and developed the so called "animal style" martial arts. Your attitude is nothing new.
Regarding "enlightenment": if you're searching out for some artificial reasons to terrorize people with a guru sect, then found a guru sect for which you would need "enlightenment." Actually, males are still males. And even Gandhi was a rapist before he became celibate. Aggression and martial arts are independant from each other. I've read a lot about sadistic Tai Ji masters that I cannot believe that the Daoist-Tai Ji connection could ever lead to any kind of "enlightenment." The same with Buddhist martial artists. It' s just kitsch for those who buy it.
Remember that not all cultures are same, yet. There are still people/s other than you who would be eager to protect laws which allow men a manlier lifestyle.

Correct me if I am wrong on this,
But, Shaolin Kungfu is so highly developed to the point that some of its moves does not even require brute strength to inflict fatal wounds on someone. Is that true?
Because I saw on TV this Chinese guy basically selling his videos on some Shaolin kungfu techniques that he "sneaked" out of the temple to share with others for the purpose of self-defense.
His moves are second-fast quick and said to have abilities to cripple or damage the nerve-centers and nerve-points of one's body.
This sounds crazy to believe, but China has an old civilization and I would believe it if it's true.

to all those who replied to me,
I just wanted to completely destroy them all! I didnt care about honour and the the age of these people. I was really edging towards the dark-side for that moment, and i still have dark urges.
I still need to train my mind to the point where nothing can anger me. but that guys is what you call Enlightenment. its very difficult to learn in this day an age.
let me let you into my world of the temptation of evil: when i was watching spiderman, i just thought that i would have just my powers for the good of myself, and myself only. it is only when i think about he's uncle dying which prompt him to take action for the good.
my fav x-men is wolverine, and if i had the claws and healing power of wolverine, i'd most certainly beat the crap out of anyone in my way.
my limitations as a mere man and the law has helped keep my on the right side of good and evil so far.
maybe i need more sparring to get this agression out of my system.

na, milkshaken aint a weapon
I knew they would fight if i did that. Although i didnt fear an encounter it wasnt worth it. My philoiphy in fighting is "active defense" as long as they arent hurtin anyone else or me. I'll let it go. It is not wise to fight just for the sake of pride. Pick your fights, if you fight all the time sooner or later you'll get creamed.
Latina loving guy
Yep headbutt is one of my favorite close range tactics, followed by eye thrust. The follow up is elbows, i got to the point where i can throw those babys around like a punch, In JKD i trap their arms and hands with mine and follow through the outside curve with a series of elbows then a internal curve uppercut elbow. It's almost unstoppable, their arms are totally trapped and you still woop on them with the hardest part of your arm.
I usually perfer to finish with a open hand strike to the nose a few time, make them BLEEED more for psychological reasons than not.
