I can't say I've dated many asian american men, just a few. I am korean/asian - american (to be placed in a category). Most of the asian men don't attract me in a sexual sense. I did grow up in a caucasian parented household...so that may be part of it. Yet, my older brother and sister were also korean adoptees. My brother and I get along beautifully to this day. Many asian guys, I have found that if they grew up in an asian household, they lack a certain sincerity in their personalities, they also have a cultural upbringing that is very un-american. That would be fine, but they are in America! Regardless of what their parents instilled upon them, they are still able to choose who they are and what they believe. There are also some that act as though they are better than men of other races...stupid. Then there are the ones who think that all of america is out to get them, that they are oppressed, and blah, blah, blah! But, perhaps my preference for non-asian men is that in the end they seem like my brother. I get hit on, but regardless, the sexual attraction is pushed aside by a sibling affection. On the Asian male thing, I say you guys have it going on. Just as black women have been phenotypically denigrated in this society, so have Asian males. You guys are fiiine!! Don't let Hollywood get to you, and don't try to change or compensate for your Asianess. When you feel that you are fine the way you are, the rest of the US will see you that way too.

As far as physical attraction goes, too many Asian men wear clothes that were designed for much bigger black guys. Don't blindly buy any designer, but look for clothes that will flatter your build.
Many of the people who post here, regardless of race or sex, seem angry that their perfect mate hasn't fallen out of the sky into their Christmas stocking. I'm afraid that I have to agree with you. Brown people are also Asian. The Burmese, Laotian, Tibetans, Javanese, Indians, are more or less "brown" people, but they are most definately Asian. I was born in Asia, and many of my Indian friends refrerred to themselves as Asian. Meanwhile the American born ones think of themselves as "Indian" as if that were a race. That is just an Maerican social construct, and nothing else. The word "Indian " refers to an ethnicity, not a race of people. Granted, there are obvious differences between Koreans/Chinese and Indians, but we are all Asian. I believe the correct term for Indians is "South Asian". That would make us Koreans "East Asians".
