Please pardon my East and Southeast Asian brethren.

I don't know if you've noticed that many of them do not consider Indians to be "REAL" Asians. A Vietnamese friend of mine who is really good friends w/ a few Indian people even told me he doesn't CONSIDER Indians to be Asian either.
I was a bit disturbed by this comment.
As far as I'm concerned, if you're from India, Pakistan, or Kazakhstan YOU ARE Asian. Just not "Oriental". Hehe... I know some ppl on goldsea will get in a fit over that word... but that's the word my Chinese mother uses to differentiate Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese people from Indians and other Asian ethnicities located closer to Europe and Africa.
I don't think I've ever heard her use the word Oriental in reference to Filipinos or Malays, though.

BTW- I've noticed that sometimes Indians (eg. northern and northwestern Indians) are nicer to me than Viets and Koreans. I guess it's because they're less prejudiced towards us halfies and some northern and northwestern Indians do look a little hapa/EurAsian. You know how they say ppl who have similar physical/racial characteristics tend to feel more comfortable around each other.

Could someone please direct me to where I can go to discuss Asian American men? I was under the assumption that was what I had drifted into, but clearly its not. So namaste my Indian friends, but I want an ASIAN website...

I am in ageement that souh Indians are just a local race with primordial affinities with just about everywhere else. Some complex cranio facial studies have revealed to us that south Indians do exhibit different traits when compared with Indo Iranian and European peoples. There are internet sites explaining this phenomenon. The focus is on jaw structure and dental patterns of some sort.

Indonesian men really have a lot of impressive facial structue, can anybody else agee with me on this? The men have prominent high cheekbones slender builds and sun kissed skin. I am really confused about the people of east Timor, do these folks resemble the people of Sumatra and Java, maybe some do, but who are these Timorese exactly?

I'm also south indian, but that guy is on crack, he has the strangest theories. He thinks he is black and he thinks he is very good looking which is an obvious lie. I am positive he is a sri lankan tamil, they are incredibly ugly. yuck.

South Indians are very soon going to be considered the Italians and Latinos of Asia since we really exuberate with the elegence and exotica of these peoples, why! the day will come when we will simply obliterate and take over the number one position from latinos and Italians. A centuty ago a great British traveller Maynard Collins who studied Indian languages commented that Telegu was the Italian of the east. In the seveenteenth century an Italian traveller commented on the Tamils mentioning that the men possessed so much physical beauty and grace that they were so reminicest of his very own race of Italians.
