And if you still think that Indians are not "Asians"...well, you should look at some old paintings and such arts...like during Babar's time...everyone of those Indians...look of the Mongloid race...under the rule of the supreme Asian ruler...Ghengis Khan...he ruled China (the Han Dynasty) to Persia...and south to India (the Mogul Empire)...aka...all of this was called the Mongol Empire...India have 30,000,000 people of the Mongloid race and at least 10,000,000 practice Buddhism...as some East Asians in Jakarta and Bali still practice Hinduism...Sri Lanka is 95% Buddhist...but someone way back said it exactly right...the Indo-China-Asia(Super Asian Continent)...lost great ties when those god**mn British people decided to invade our lands and divide the people...the reason why India doesn't have much of the Mongloid features...are because the strong Aryan influence (it's 72% Indo-Aryan)...and various reasons such as how the British didn't let the Chinese, Vietnamese, and the Khmers come and visit and trade with India and vice-versa (it is high-time we mend those ties into a unbreakable Super-Asian bond)....they are much to blame for the existing problems between Asian countries relationships today. India-China-Persia are THE OLDEST civilizations on the earth today all belonging to the oldest peoples of the earth the Asians...let the whites NEVER FORGET that all the world's major religions were founded on our continent...as we, the Asians, were the true beginning of supreme mankind. But I am no racist. I only spit out the facts. I mean...you're going to tell me...that China...South East Asia...and Indian-sub-continent...have no relationship at all?...hahahahahahahahahahaha...no way...India was invaded by several indiginous peoples...the Aryans...the Huns, Alexander the Great...the Mongols with Ghengis Khan, the Moguls (the Turks), the Dravidians were always there, the British, the Portuguese, the French...etc...did you expect it to stay of one color or race?..as were certain other parts of Asia. Indians are ASIAN and it's always been that way...accept us...we accept you. Think about the similarities instead of the differences. Black hair, brown eye & slightly tanned to dark-tanned skin are a just a couple. They outnumber the differences by a mile.

By the way...whether you "real Asians" like it or not...I feel a lot closer to you guys (those of the Mongloid race) than the Middle-Easterners (who are counted as white)...(though they're Asian too)...or any other race for that matter...I believe we as a whole have a lot of the same interests, ideas and philosophy basics...in a variety of things. Most of my really good friends have been of the Mongloid race of diverse East Asian backgrounds.

This is what's damn wrong with all the "Asians" (Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, Arab, whatever).

You people haven't the slightest idea that...we're living in a WHITE WORLD right now!!!!!!!!...& people like Pat Buchanan...g*****mn just to mention that stupid f***'s name...is all hatin' on everyone of us "Asians," saying we're gonna turn this into a Third World country. He specifically said on CNN...that if you took all the people from China & India, that we will destroy Western culture and turn this into a third world country.

By the way...Indians very well count the people of the Mongloid race as Asians. But some Chinese guy told me to my face that "we don't count Indians as Asians."...I said...well, f***** sh**, we got our own damn country and a billion + people to support us. Don't f*** with us bitch. We in this bitch together. But, I ain't here to start the racial bull****.

To me, anyone who is from Asia is Asian. We all in the same plight gettin' played upon by all these other peeps.

And to think...you think we Indians are the best friends of the whites?...or we think we look good cause' of "white features"...fuk no. I think East Asian girls are fine as hell. I doubt they think that of me...but you got it all wrong. They refer to us as "sand-niggers." So what's new?...They hate everyone...but that don't mean that us "Asians" gotta hate on each other.

And there's a huge disctinction between Pakistanis, Arabs, and INDIANS. It's the sub-continent bitch. Different religion, different language as is with Koreans, Chinese, Vietnamese.

And talkin' bout religion...lemme remind all you "real Asians"...that Buddhism...that religion half you guys practice originated in India. DON'T EVER FORGET THAT.

So before you start saying that there are no cultural or relgious ties between East Asians & South Asians...get it straight...

we all were owned...British Hong Kong...British India...get real..by the you know who...NO LONGER WILL WE BEND OVER...INSTEAD WE'LL SEND OVER...A BIG KICK IN THE ASS TO THOSE THAT FUK WITH US.

This conversation has gone disgusting. I don't want to spend all day correcting racists, but I will bother with Gopal Varadanam's comment: whites in America are often unable to distinguish ethnic groups because #1 most of them have not ever MET anyone of most ethnic groups, and #2 since "whites" in America are already all ethnically mixed, they show a much wider variety of physical characteristics than can be found in most other countries. I've heard a white American say "All British people look alike." I thought that it was a stupid statement, but it does point out that such comments don't necesarily indicate racism. And China, your statistics would probably have more impact if you'd bothered to tell us where you got them from.

This is what I think about Indian people:

Most of the Indians born in North America are really nice. I have nothing against them, and I do have many of them as friends. They are proud to be Indian, but at the same time respect and praise other cultures. They also admit to flaws in their own culture. (And don't complain that I said this; everyone knows all cultures have flaws).

But the FOBs from India are a different story.

How should I put it? I'll give an example. For instance, if there is a White person and a non-white person, the Indian seems to pay full attention to the White and totally ignore the other person (the other person could be Black, Hispanic, Oriental, or even Indian). I find this quite offensive, as I treat everyone equally. Sometimes, it's so bad, it seems like they are worshipping their "white god." I was in Britain a few months ago, and the Indians there treated me so coldly, but they were so warm and friendly to the Whites. What I've gathered from some of the posts here is that it sounds like you are more proud to be linked to the White race rather than what differentiates you from
Whites. I mean, guys! Be proud of yourself! You don't need to brag that you are linked to the White race to be a great people. Honestly speaking, you may have Aryan blood, but White Caucasians will never see you as their equal, especially the British. The anti-Indian sentiment over there is getting quite severe. I heard that a couple weeks ago, a British newspaper told you guys to "go back to India."

I really appreciate a lot of the wonderful things India has made known to the rest of world. I love saris, menhdi, Indian jewelry (especially tikkas), sitar music, and curry. But at the same time, I love the Chinese qipao, the Korean hanbok, Chinese calligraphy, Chinese jade, erhu music, teriyaki and sushi. I can find beauty in slanted eyes and flat noses, but I can find beauty in tanned skin and dark curly hair as well. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I am not sure what your posting about passing for Hispanic etc. indicates? You blend well? At least until you screw up the language or customs, I suppose. And is this an achievement? I don't grasp the whole relevancy of your posting. You contradict,in a way, your own point. If you can stand up for yourself, then why is the fact you can pass yourself off as other ethnicities matter? Or are you merely saying something along the lines of ' white people will always stick out like a sore thumb among ethnic communities'. And if that IS your point...whats it demonstrate? That an advantage to being Asian is you are less likely to get a butt whooping in New York? I am struggling to track with you....enlighten me please.
P.S. You also contradict yourself in the postings where you first state that whites have low IQs based on YOUR perception of their lack of perception of ethnic groups. ( Say what?) Then your more recent posting has you saying that the whole business about IQs is dubious.

AMSTERDAM in my opinion has got to be the white trash capital of the living planet. Legalised prostitution, legalised abuse of drugs, excessive over exaggerated homosexuality, excessive alcholism.
Indian movie actors are uglier than rednecks driving 1985 Ford pickup trucks in Mobile, Alabama.
I admire Japanese women for their radical fashion sensibilities.
I admire Malay women for their proud and dignified demeanour.
I admire hard working Korean women who are the backbone that sustain Korean businesses in the USofA.
As far as whites having CHEAP resemblences to south Indians, well take that lame joke and shove it up your ass.
It's true that south Indian men and women, especially the men are notoriously multi dimensional. Whether it be at hip/hop clubs in the Bronx or Atlanta, a fiesta in Puerto Rico, a Flamenco festival in southern Spain, or a muslim/hindu holy day in Java and Bali respectively, I will fit in comfortably, nature has also granted us with razor sharp faces. I am proud to be a dark skinned Asian from the south of India.
