WHAT YOU SAY

who cares what broker you use. it doesn't mean anything anyways. I say that in a general term. I use ameritrade. What do you mean by day trader? Is it many transaction in a day? because if that's the case then, go set up a special account with the big boys. They will hook you up with discounts.

I am daytrading stocks. My broker is Datek and they are OK, but with the merger with Ameritrade, the expertise of the customer service seems to be declining.
I would like to know what brokers other daytraders use. I've heard names like Mytrack, MB Trading, IB, E-trade direct-access. Like/dislike any one of them? Are soft-ware based systems much better than web-based ones?
Currently I don't use Level II because I trade intraday long-swings (i.e., I'm not a "scalper") with short stops and L2 is not too critical in my trading. Still I wonder if L2 might give me better fill. If I were to use L2, and direct access, who are the best brokers?

So you're a Christian. Nice to know so we can stay off sticky subjects like the afterlife or religion or reincarnation or ghosts and the such that I normally discuss for fun.
So what do you discuss for fun...other than martial arts, which I don't know anything about.

That's only because nobody else wants to join in the conversation.
Is SOG your initials or does it stand for something powerful? MLK looks powerful (peace and love and human rights), but nothing so exotic.
It's just my initials.

Not much. I've been thinking about studying and getting my degree in professional waitressing or perhaps a high-power job as a girl-friday. :)
Actually, most of my work experience up to this point has been mainly in sales & mktg. However, at this time, I am just muddling along and praying that I'll make it out of school in one piece. It would be nice when I discover one day, to my pleasant surprise, that I am no longer enrolled in classes and never again have to cram for exams. I have found out that perpetual schooling turns me from an ordinary person into an egg-head. It's really scary. I don't even want to think about it.
