The Rock is a mixture of African American, Caucasian Candian and Samoan. Samoa is in the Pacific Rim and is part of the Asian Continental plate. So yes, the Rock is part Asian-American.

rush hour 2 could have been better. but i think a lot of asian people, including myself didnt like the whole "heaven on earth" part. Its just one of those sterotype that made us go "damn, here we go again"

To Whatever: everyone is over the "5 minute scene" in Fargo. We were just discussing it as yet another instance of media denigration for no other reason than denigration. You are right; it was just a 5 minute scene; a 5 minute scene that was a departure from the rest of the plot with no relevance whatsoever to anything else in the movie. The fact that that does not raise a question in your mind only indicates that you are not one of us.

to start off, i dont know who garrett wong is and i dont know what show/movie he is in. but to answer your question, i think its because its just a movie/show. its not a big deal. my korean friend got upset over the fact that rick yuen wasnt represented as a korean in the fast and the furious. look at it this way, at least they are tryin to make people relize that not all asian are chinese. well, i could be wrong, so feel free to correct me people.
