As a white woman married to a Chinese man and raising a son, I was really hoping to get into some dialogue about inter-racial marriages and bi-racial children. It seems lately though this site is all about actors. Is anyone out there wanting to share comments, questions and concerns about marriage and children?

Race is the topic in America. Did you watch the Winter Olympics on February 23? After two African American men won the silver medal, the NBC anchor mentioned race first...not nationality...not American black, but black American. He also went on to talk about how a Cuban American as well as a Mexican American won medals, and that an Asian American already won one in 1992...Kristi Yamaguchi. NBC did not talk about the fact that Australians won gold (two to be precise) for the first time ever....is it because nationality did not matter?..because they are white?..and whites are "supposed to win" gold at winter olympics...Aussie or otherwise? Now, if a white male of female wins the 100 meters race in the Summer Olympics...it would be major news all over America...but then people would say that perhaps he or she took drugs...why? There is precedence. Even after taking drugs the white German women could not beat our atheletes such as Flo Jo and Jackie Joyner at the Seoul Olympics, 1988! As Ronald Reagan says, 'you aint seen nothing yet!" See the reaction if in NCAA women's Basketball, Stanford's Lindsey Yamasaki (Japanese origin) or Sebnem Kimciyagolu (Turkish origin) win the MVP or Naismith...hell, for that matter even MVP in the Pac 10 tournament...race would be in the forefront...that is all the sportswriters would be talking about...it sells. It is a way of life here in the good old USA! Skin Color is God, even above Jesus Christ!

Just A Suggestion: Your're right,I may be a racist but I am not prejudice, I pre-judge no one ,positively or negatively. As for my being a racist,yes, I just don't feel most whites can be trusted. You're a perfect example of how your kind try and turn things around to make yourselves look innocent and not at fault.You would not have taken offense to my comments if you were so confident in yourself and your behavior.I noticed you had nothing to say about "Juno" and his racist remarks.And just a suggestion,perhaps you should be telling your people what you're trying to tell me and all of this could have been avoided:)

The way parents raise their kids makes the most difference. The kids' race, whether mixed or not, is an important factor in their lives, but it's not always the most important.

It's people like you who continue to feed the race issue. You want society to not be racist, but you yourself are probably the worst. Not all white people see other races as inferior to themselves. I for one have the ability to judge a person on merit and not skin color. Perhaps you should try to do the same.
