WHAT YOU SAY

hello kitty,

You are right about the high-bridged nose. But N. Chinese actually have a high preponderance of single eyelids due to their Mongolian blood. It seems that you yourself have bought into the Western paradigm of beauty thus are so intent in pushing your double-eyelid theory, claiming it makes N. Chinese better looking.

Hey, aren't you from Taiwan?? I know that Taiwan people are obsessed with girls with "big eyes". That's probably what made you become so obsessed with your big eyes. But that is not the norm amongst N. Chinese, but I think our single eyelids and small eyes are beautiful. I'm damn proud to have small eyes because I am reminded of our tough N. Chinese/Manchurian character whenever I see them. BTW, I am true blue Northerner from the province of Heilongjiang. I was born there and came here when I was a kid, I'm straight from the North and my standards are real Northern standards, not modified by Taiwan.

Hello Kitty,

No it's NOT! I know many Chinese with NOrthern Heritage who have single eyelids and low bridge noses...
Wat the hell are you talking about?    Wednesday, October 31, 2001 at 07:35:41 (PST)
I have seen a few asian women who are naturally blessed in the "boobage" department. What's really sad are the alarming rates of asian women getting implants. Nothing more ridiculous than seeing a sister with her cups runneth over. It's one thing to get implants, but don't pass your "fakes" as real. Rigid, poke your eye out bolt-ons! Keep it real people.

I'm a korean male and i was accused of performing a cosmetic surgery on my eye lids by a korean girl at my college. She had told me that korean guys don't have double eye lids. I felt completely idiotic for defending myself of not having one. We, asians do have a diversity people. don't expect certain groups of asians to have designated facial features because there are always exceptions. And please, for asian females, don't have a plastic surgery. That act itself proves that asian women are naturally unattractive and in need of a cosmetic surgery to be accepted. that's a bullsh*t. don't even consider having one because that's a mental trap. (everytime you look at a mirror, you'll find yourself more unattractive.) embrace what god has given you. to me, your face is a direct representation of your innerself, or soul, and that only comes through by believing. If you feel confident and love yourself for who you are, your face will become gradually more attractive to you and the others, and trust me on this. it's not some idealistic non-sense, it is the absolute truth.

Hello Kitty,

It's true that N Chinese have high nose bridge and that's cool but lots of them also have "Moon Face" and a unflattering flat face. And that central asia caucausian mix is naive bull shit statement... there's no way that there were enough central Asians mixing with the Han ppl with such a long history to make any significant impact. I believe that these attractive features are just naturally Chinese.

Hey Hello Kitty,

My family comes from the Shantung Province also!!! Wow! Where in the U.S. do you live? It's kind of funny because my grandparents would always tell me that people from Shantung would never leave that place. They are too stubborn and would rather live there in poverty than to take a chance and move someplace where they could have a chance to prosper, like the U.S. or Taiwan. My grandpa always thought he was a rebel by leaving home with his wife and my dad when they were young. LOL! Sorry, this has nothing to do with cosmetic surgery. I was just excited to hear someone else made it out of Shandong.

Vietnamese Beauty:

I don't know what's worse. Your daughter trying to look completely white, which is what she is trying to do if you haven't noticed, or YOU agreeing to let a 15 year old have plastic surgery for no other reason than looking less Asian. What parent in their right mind would let a 15 year old make a decision like that? The girl is not disfigured, she is just unsatisfied like ALL teenagers are at that age. Who here didn't like how they looked during their teen years? People grow up and out of their looks. It was totally irresponsible on your part to let her do this. Who's to say she will like what she looks like in another few years?

On top of all that, she wants YOU to do the same thing. Why? She thinks you're not attractive enough as you are. Have you ever thought about why this is? Maybe cause you're full blooded Asian and she's a little embarassed? Your kid sounds like she's seriously screwed up mentally and you ain't helping.

That's an absurdity. That woman is sooo sexy. Her dark skin makes her look like shes a goddess carved from black marble..

And her features are gorgeous...

michelle kwan:

Sorry if I have offended anybody :P

Actually I was only picking on that Viet lady and daughter, didn't mean to upset anybody else; and certainly not laughing at anybody's expense.

I admit I had been generalizing, but there's a certain degree of truth to what I said, especially regarding the nose-bridge part.

As for eye-lid surgery...hmm, that actually applies to Koreans. I am northern Chinese, and I have a natural crease ( the so-called " double-eyelid" in Mandarin )and so do a lot of people who came from the same province as my grandparents( shan-dong ). I also know a lot of Northern chinese girls, and believe me, majority of them are attractive-looking and ALL have eyes like me. I believe this is due to the racial mixing with the central Asia caucasians who once had been harrasing China's northern provinces. I am sorry but, low-bridge noses among Northern Chinese are actually RARE.

thanx for reading.
