WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
to strawberry & asian girl:
please don't have eyelid surgery! you don't need it! If you can watch some programs on eyelid surgery, I hope it will convince you not to want it. I recently saw a program on CBC (Canadian tv channel) on it, and it was just sad. They were pretty girls that seemed to have feelings that they were not pretty, or that they didn't feel they were pretty. One girl who was I think Japanese and an exchange student who had upturned eyes and single lids and she looked really pretty, and afterwards, practically no difference with the double lids, and the other girl was a spanish looking philipino girl who seemed to really dislike her ethnicity. She said she wanted to make the outside look like how she felt on the inside. That was pretty sad, since what she was basically saying was that she wanted to fit in with her cronies better(who were white), and be perceived as the same as they were. Sure it makes sense to want to fit in better, and to not feel like you are "different", but that should not make you hate yourself to the point where you would be willing to go under the knife for a completely unnecessary surgery. (Didn't any of you see the Dr. Seuss story about the star-bellied sneeches?) Lots of white actresses who are considered pretty have smallish eyes, that are single lidded, and if not single lidded, almost -- e.g. young &youngish "bombshells"/models/actresses: Julia Stiles, Catherine Zeta Jones, Kate Moss, Cate Blanchett, Claudia Schiffer --older & old (& academy award winners!)--Marcia Gay Harden & Judi Dench. I am sure there are more examples if you look. So even if you get the surgery, you will still be asian, just a more obviously self-hating asian. I don't think eyelid surgery will really make you feel better.

Need help, you should try cracking some vitamin e pills and applying them to your scars. i had scne scars and did this, and it really helped. you can't see mine anymore, really. the down side of vitamin e is that it makes your facial hair grow more, but at least the scars go away! marilyn monroe had the same problem. it won't be an overnight thing, but it helped me a lot.

Hello everyone
I need some advice, I'm in my late twenties and considering a chemical peel to remove some acne scares I have. They are not deep but I know they are there. Before going through with this and spending hundreds of dollars does anyone know of any other options like over the counter creams or even prescription gels? I'm not convinced any of them really works.
Thanks

I think that people should be able to do any kind of surgery they want if it makes them happy. We only live once. I'm chinese with a slight eyelid crease and this July I have a consultation appointment with a surgeon to do the eyelid surgery. I am very excited!
I am happy with the way i look when I have my eyeliner on but don't feel as comfortable without it on. I am doing the surgery so that I can just wash my face and go if i ever want to instead of having to precisely put on my eyeliner and mascara...i think that's just a waste of time although it doesn't take that long to do. I just want to go natural for once.
I'm not too nervous of my surgery, excited more than anything. Can anyone share with me their experience of eyelid surgery? not the procedure but how you liked the results? any bad results from anyone? I am very interested to hear.
Thanks.

Uh... You might think I sound stupid, but I wanna know how you think I look. >.<
I have quite long, straight, dark brown hair with full volume. I wear it down so it makes my head look twice as big. I'm slim, 5'6" and my body seems small compared to my head. So basically I look like I have a big head and a small (by width) body. Aaah.

hty , hhhmmmm...abs? i do some lower body raises. you lie down and then you pull your legs toward you and try to raise your butt and hips off the ground. it's hard at first but after a week you get better strength. my stomach looks toner , i dont know if this works for guys but i know it should work for girls. you can do sit ups the old fashion way too ...works VERY GOOD
