WHAT YOU SAY

Hi Taller Wannabe
I think you have a chance of getting taller still. You're only 16, I'd say you may have another inch or two of growing. I personally wish that i was 5'4. I'm 5'6 and i think that's too tall..i guess for an asian. If i wear tall shoes then i'm so much taller than all my relatives and i feel like a giant. Like i said, i've always wished that i wasn't so tall...but I can't do anything about that. But i do hear of other people say how lucky i am to be tall. I think we all just want to be what we aren't.
But you're 16, i think you'll at least get another inch or two in there. I think i stopped growing at 18 or 19.

if i had plastic surgery...i would want to do my nose and contour my cheeks-----whoa, watch every1 flame me!! but face it, a nose looks better when there's a nose bridge, and having a more defined jaw looks better too...it will probably work miracles on the profile. every1 asks y do this, y do that...the answer is so simple! it looks BETTER!! boobs r better than no boobs, and a nose bridge is better than none. actually my nose is perfectly fine from the front, just on the side i want more height ;)
also, i'm very insecure about my height. i'm 5'2, and 16. think i'll grow more? i would like to be 5'8, even tho my tall cousins say i'll never find a guy at that height. being short gets on my nerves big time! clothes r so much more flattering on taller ppl, and easier to find, especially pants/jeans. i'm so scared that i'm done growing. my dad is 5'6, my mom is barely shorter than him. do i have a chance of getting some more height on me? i know of a surgery that's done, mostly on REALLY short ppl though, that lengthens legs and arms. however, i do NOT want metal rods drilled into my bones and having to be monitored all the time. that's just a bit too extreme for me, hehe. any alternatives? (by the way, yes i get calcium. don't think that's the problem)

Thanks e-Girl,

I just said i wanted to do my eyes, i never said i wanted to be perfect, heheh. If i did, I would've already named a few more surgeries i'd like to do.
I'm glad you don't give a crap about what people say about you, same here. I'm positive that people who make rude comments about other people's looks, online especially aren't quite a sight anyway.
My surgery is this coming Wednesday!
Thanks for your support of my surgery!

I agree with u MT. No one "needs" to change a particular feature on their face, nor do they need to hear that they need something to be changed. My mum used to make me feel really self conscious about my weight (amongst other things) and for the longest time I thought I was really terrible looking. I honestly didn't realize that she was being ridiculous for the longest time-- I'm 5'2" and less than 100 lbs. So anyway, the point of my rant is that EVERYONE is aware of their own features-- an effect of having mirrors to look into and having unique perceptions of that image reflected in the mirror. If someone is going to have surgery, they get it where and how they want, for their personal reasons. Believe it or not, people perceive themselves beautiful for complicated reasons that go beyond the width of ones nose or contour of ones eyes. How you perceive yourself is more complicated and unique than how an impartial passerby perceives you. That's pretty much why I don't give a crap what anyone thinks as long as I'm happy and comfortable with what I do to myself for beauty's sake.
I hope the surgery/consultation went well, Strawberry!

Thanks MT and Jackie Chan is so Sexy,
I did get my consultation already and am doing the surgery next week on the 31st! I can't wait! But a little nervous at the same time.
MT, just to let you know, Dr. Middleton did seem rushed but his nurses were more patient and available to explain things. But i'm still getting it done by him. I told him i wanted him to do the crease like the first girl's on his sample page of eyelid surgery.
I'll post up a new pic of me on my webpage once my eyes are quite healed.

i think its really rude for some of you here to comment on other people's noses.
go look in the mirror and tell me what your nose look like
Jackie Chan is SO sexy    Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at 15:11:19 (PDT)
Hey people,
stop telling Strawberry that doing her eyes won't make a difference. She wants to do it, let her do it!
ANYWAY, i think she's already had her consultation, is in Toronto now, and will have her surgery in a few days so it's TOO late anyway to tell her to stop!!
Why would you say (right before she goes to get her eyes done) "oh don't get your eyes done, you *NEED* a nosejob" ?!? That's rude.
MT    Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at 09:06:11 (PDT)
Hey My Two Cents or Josh

How do you know that the crease will be unnoticeable anyway? If that was the case, millions of people would not be doing this surgery just to throw thousands of dollars away. I don't think you know much about what you're talking about, sorry dude.

Azn Beauty Queen

I'm interested in knowing what the Cleopatra is, can you give more details about it, thanks.

I'm interested in getting a nose job. My nose seem to be kinda big, roundish on the bottom, I want to make smaller or thinner on the bottom. Has anyone done this, and do you know how much it would cost? thanks
gemma    Sunday, July 21, 2002 at 20:38:55 (PDT)
to azn beauty queen,

how does the cleopatra work?
skittles    Friday, July 19, 2002 at 11:14:24 (PDT)
strawberry your eyes won't look much different after the surgery. it will only have a small crease that is hardly noticeable anyways. besides i think u should focus on your nose, your eyes are fine.
My Two Cents    Friday, July 19, 2002 at 08:35:18 (PDT)
Strawberry,
You have pretty eyes...honestly I dont think going through the painful aftermath of the surgery is really worth it, also theres a risk taht it will turn out bad. May I suggest getting a Cleopatra, its a Phillipino invention that makes your nose not necesarrily bigger, but skinnier and more defined. I have been looking for them here in the states but I guess that they only have them in the phillines tho.....

I believe asian eyes are great it's just my eyelashes I wish I was born with longer thicker lashes so I met this black girl who got her hair done and the ladies at the salon do "eyelashes extensions" it does hurt at all, it looks natural, it last for a month, because they use weave glue... and after thy're off it somehow makes your lashes longer... some vet lady name nancy does it in Houston.
