WHAT YOU SAY

I just moved out here to the bay area, and I keep hearing that all the asain women are all taken. Is there any truth to anything like that or are people just exaggerating. It seems kind of funny whenever I hear that and I always laugh about it. Can anyone tell me where I can meet lots of Asain women around here. I don't know where all the spots are yet.

steve:

i'm from the east bay and like i said earlier, there is more to the east bay than just oakland and berkeley. you want to look past the caldecott tunnel. and i can assure you, any single piece of furniture in my parent's home is valued higher than your net worth. please stop talking about 'ghetto blacks' and 'low income hispanics'. it's just in bad taste and reflects poorly on your character and class.

also, i just happen to have friends who attended different uc's, and we once all had a discussion about the ebonics class offered only at ucla. i didn't have to study any course list. i just happen to have friends who pursued higher education.

and yes, my third degree, which i am still pursuing, is taking me to great places. life is good. especially in l.a. =) but i'm sure you have better ways to spend your time.

More nonsense from Steve...

"BTW, penelope the East Bay is the poorest part of the Bay Area so what are you talking about? There is absolutely nothing affluent about the East Bay. Are you sure you have been up there?"

I don't know how many times you have used the word "poor," as if being poor is the most disgraceful thing bestowed upon oneself. Not everyone is as fortunate as you. So, maybe these "poor" lads in the Bay can move to LA, and be like you, and live like a king, right? So, in other words, what you are saying is that in the Bay, you would be nothing more than a broke ass yourself. Do you have any stats to back up your claim that there are more poor people in the Bay than LA? I do know that the Bay has a higher per capita income than LA. So, if you say there are more poor in the Bay, that can only mean that there are that many more rich to balance out the equation!

You see, the economic status of a region is fueled by its workforce. The person who is poor here will also be poor in LA. Does a janitor in the Bay end up driving and Escalade while sippin' on some alisay when he moves to LA?

Secondly, have YOU been to the East Bay? East Bay is NOT just Oakland, Richmond, and Hayward. Don't act like you are the expert on every region in every area. I wouldn't even call myself a know-it-all on every part, and I live here! Blackhawk is where many athletes, CEO's, etc. live, and it's in the East Bay valley area. Orinda and Moraga are close by. Those are like those isolated hilly (not hillbilly) areas with gated communities. Fremont Hills is also home to many tech executives, entertainers, and football players (Deion Sanders, Shawon Dunston, Ralph Tresvant, and a bunch of rappers all own homes there). Pleasanton is very affluent as well. It's not as exclusive as the other places, but is very cozy and charming. Jason Kidd owns a house there.

"And come on, there are just as many, if not more f.o.b.'s in the SF bay. So instead of having one house with a family of f.o.b.'s like in LA you have one house with 2 or 3 families of f.o.b.'s in the bay."

So you are dicriminating against recent immigrants now? We all came here sometime. Your parents or grandparents, or whatever were immigrants at some point. Besides, I rarely see those types of living arrangements you describe.

"I'm going to tell you the same things that you told me about yourself [-----]. Even if I told you, you would probably insinuate that I am not being honest so what is the point? Whatever the case, my life in LA is much better than it could ever be in the Bay, that I DO know."

I already told you what I do for a living - real estate. Now, it's pretty obvious that you don't even read the other posts carefully, and just spew whatever the hell you feel like saying. You are the one who is so obsessed with money, so I bet the first thing you tell a girl when you meet her is how thick your wallet is, huh? It seems like your only concern in life is how big your house and bank account are. Hehe... I guess LA girls do go for that kind of thing.

TSJ,

I'm going to tell you the same things that you told me about yourself [-----]. Even if I told you, you would probably insinuate that I am not being honest so what is the point? Whatever the case, my life in LA is much better than it could ever be in the Bay, that I DO know.

and penelope,

blacks, asians and latinos all hang around in the Bay singing kum-bay-yah...hahaha that is too funny. Where? I've never seen it. All I saw were hillbillies, ghetto blacks and low income Hispanics discriminating against Asian people everywhere I looked. In LA no one kicks it with anyone unless they have mutual interests and similar economic status regardless of race.

BTW, penelope the East Bay is the poorest part of the Bay Area so what are you talking about? There is absolutely nothing affluent about the East Bay. Are you sure you have been up there?

And come on, there are just as many, if not more f.o.b.'s in the SF bay. So instead of having one house with a family of f.o.b.'s like in LA you have one house with 2 or 3 families of f.o.b.'s in the bay. Also, sorry penelope I don't know anything about ebonics, you apparently study school curriculum schedules very well, what a great use of time. That prestigious degree you have there really seems to have taken you places. Sorry, I have better ways to spend my time.

LA is #1

"you know up north, blacks actually kick it with asians who kick it with mexicans?"

Case in point - All the racer crews in LA seem to be one race, all Chinese, all Flip, all Viet, all Mex, all White, etc. Up here, most of the crews are mixed.

"Local LA newscasts never mention El Monte. In fact, they rarely mention the San Gabriel Valley at all. As I said before, Asian investment is increasing there."

Maybe LA people don't hear much about El Monte, but nationwide, they have a reputation. America's Most Wanted features people from there all the time, starting with the infamous pool hall scene. AB's leader is still on the loose. Weren't they just going around town just randomly shooting at any Mexicans they come across?
