WHAT YOU SAY

Your such a tool TSJ ...some arrogant white boys at A&F make fun of Asians and you go right along with it and even support it, BRRRRRRR... Maybe you think if you ignore it or laugh with it, it will just go away. I got news for you, it won't. It will just keep happening over and over. People like this are not laughing with you, they are laughing at you -Big difference. Man are you totally whitewashed and in denial or what? Good thing those people in SF made a stink and got their message across.

On another note, isn't it funny how most anti-Asian pop culture in the US seems to emanate from England to the US? England is a racist insignificant country with no clout in Europe. Just ask any Asian Indian who has to live there. Only we Americans worship these stupid toads while the rest of the world laughs at them. God save the queen, ooooooooh God save the queen our lord bluh, bluh, ...bluh bluh bluh bluh bluh. -> hehehe...

"what i don't understand is why some clothesline did not already jump on this and come up with a shirt that has 'i'm a dumbass white bitch who likes chinese characters' written in chinese. they'd wear it b/c they don't really care what it says--they just think the words look cool. that would be great, don't you all think?"

Well, I know some Chinese tattoo artists who does "cool" looking characters on non-Chinese people, with words that make absolutely no sense. They do it on purpose, so Chinese people can laugh at them. One of the gangbangers in my neighborhood has a sick tat with the word, "string" on his arm! hahaha

"Actually, yes. There is a webpage from white minorities in asia who *resent* how english phrases are placed on all asian things. especially since the phrases make no sense"

There is a difference. English is the international language of commerce. While not everyone in other countries knows Chinese, many know English. Labels of products, like cars, are all in English.

"There are a lot of shirts featuring black caricatures, albeit, created by black people themselves. However, I see more whites than blacks wearing it.

Exactly. On both points."

Hey! How do you italicize? Anyways, what is YOUR point?

"Not really, I don't like the Asian culture in the West Coast."

Yeah, although I have no basis of comparision, since I've never lived anywhere else. I'm pretty much out to do my own thing. Don't bother me, and I won't bother you. Just don't mess with the WONG guy! haha

I don't think much about the Asian thing, but nothing beats the Cali life, the palm trees, the lovely weather, the kick back attitude.

"How is this gaining respect? All it does is perpetrate old stereotypes about Asians being whiny little b*tches who have to cry to mommy every time they don't get their way.

When has that ever been a stereotype of asians? To the contrary, we have been known to just accept injustices and make the best out of situations."

As long as I've known, people have always capped on Asians for being little wussies. In grammar school, little Asians kids were always the ones to tattle. They got beat up all the time because they complained, not only for things related to them, but for people tagging, littering, throwing food, etc. Why are so many Asian kids the "teacher's pet?" It's because they rat out everyone, and need to stick their face in the teachers bosom, just like with their mommy.

About the homeless thing... hey, it's a dog eat dog world, survival of the fittest. For those who fall through the cracks, that's just too damn bad. I work hard for what I have. Too bad they didn't do the same thing.

"Many Asians want to become White or appreciate things that are western, do you see the same kind of resentment from White ppl as with Asians???? I think not."

Actually, yes. There is a webpage from white minorities in asia who *resent* how english phrases are placed on all asian things. especially since the phrases make no sense--but, hey, that can be analogized to the asian trend in US, where white people wear t-shirts with 'love dragon' in chinese written all over it. it *trivializes* our culture. if they want to learn more, fine--but don't wear pants with the pictures of the buddha pasted all over.

what i don't understand is why some clothesline did not already jump on this and come up with a shirt that has 'i'm a dumbass white bitch who likes chinese characters' written in chinese. they'd wear it b/c they don't really care what it says--they just think the words look cool. that would be great, don't you all think? <--and if you think that's racist, lucy liu did the same thing on ally mcbeal and it was classic.
