TSJ:
yo I just did a bit of trig and it turns out the curvature of an 1.2 mile section of the earth is about 1/17th of an inch. I think the Golden gate bridge is just curved cuz it's curved. damn I'm a nerd. oh well, that's what happens to people who enjoy math but suck at it ...

chick:
yeah, that's what happens when you live in an area where people shoot you dirty looks for going anywhere in a group of more than 3 people of the same race. better than hanging out with them and dealing with their fake liberal tolerance all the time.

"Must be different in SF. High class chinese resturants in NYC serve the same stuff as their moderately priced counterparts. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in CA."

Actually, few restaurants in SF itself serve it. You have to go to the "Ranch 99" Chinese strip malls in the burbs. The funny thing is how people say SF has good food and all, but when I mention other types of fine Chinese dining (such as hot rock grills or Islamic Chinese cuisine) to my SF friends, they are like WTF?! It's like they live their own little sheltered lives in their tiny, foggy town. It's true. SF people rarely venture out of the city into other parts of the Bay, unlike vice versa. They think the city has it all, when in actuality, there may be more in other places they will never get to see.

Another thing... if you crave good, authentic northern cuisine, you must get out of the city. Since the city is predominantly Cantonese, the northern style food there is more watered down. I took some SF friends to try some SUPER spicy szechuan stuff out in the Fremont/Union City area, and they were stunned. They thought they were food connoisseurs, but nothing prepared them for that. Now, they are hooked. They ask me to take them all the time now! The Islamic Chinese stuff out in Milpitas/San Jose is to die for too.

AC Dropout,

What's more important, the quality of life or life itself? Sterlization has its value. Are you subconsciously afraid of being neutered?...:) That would explain this attitude you have against it. Don't feel bad about it, really. I've had more then one guy tell me the reason they couldn't get their animal neutered was because they wouldn't want anyone doing that to them. I'm only teasing you, you know:)

But AC Dropout, what would happen if I decided that both of you should be neutered? hehe

Actually I do respect all forms of life. I do have compassion for animals and the homeless.

I've had an ostrich burger. Tastes like beef but healthy like chicken. That's the main selling point that makes ranchers breed these birds. I was impressed and finished the entire half-pound pattie.

"PS I think you and TSJ should go on a date, you guys sound like you're in love with each other."

Hehe... long distance relationships never work out.

TSJ,

Must be different in SF. High class chinese resturants in NYC serve the same stuff as their moderately priced counterparts. I'll have to check it out next time I'm in CA.

animal lover,

Why don't you replace the word "dog" with "homeless people."

You'll start to see where I'm coming from.

If your going to value life, you must value all functions of being alive. That include passing stool, urination, and reproducing.

girl,

Why don't you come on a date with the both of us. We decide which one of us should be spayed or neutered, to reduce the possibility of spawning strays. ^_^

from Chicago,
I think the reason most Asians like San Fran is simply because it's like 50% Asian, not necessarily because it's a great city. I live on the east coast and though it's mostly white, there's quite a decent black, hispanic and asian population, but the asians ONLY hang out with each other in their own little enclave. They do this from high school through college and into adult life.
