"I am Asian..another one you see walking down the streets. I see Abercrombie + Fitch shirts slowly disappearing!"
Really? I seem to see a lot more... or maybe I just pay more attention to it now.

I am Hispanic..another one you see walking down the streets. I see Abercrombie + Fitch shirts slowly disappearing!
Won't go near their stores or clothes ever again. I guess they really f***ed up this time, didn't they? Sometimes it's the only way people learn.
Me too!

TSJ,
So follow the crowd of young beautiful asian chicks into a restuarant. Okay got it.
I got family in SF I see every so often. Some of them are openly gay...so it keeps my family visits interesting.

AC,
Food in SF is generally not good. In terms of Asian food, only Japanese and Vietnamese are decent. Any western cuisine, Chinese food, deli, pizza..."fugettaboutit" as a New Yorker would say.
I really feel sorry for those Chinese families who huddle around Japantown for Japanese food. It makes wonder if they eat anything besides Japanese in family gatherings since Chinese food is so bad in SF.
Another thing is that many of the Asian eateries in SF has the worst of 2 worlds. They're dirty and the food is not good.
I only recall one good Chinese restuarant in the Bay area. In fact, it wasn't even located in SF, it was situated around the Southern San Francisco/Daly City area.
I hate to bash SF's Chinese cusine but it's pretty bad in my standards.
1)Old Chinatown basically has bad food, it caters to tourists and probably really ignorant ones who have defective taste buds. The food is very saucy and liquidy.
2)Dim Sum cost an arm and a leg, and is not good. Many of the Dim Sum joints are no longer in business...so go figure.
3)The noodle soup meals are pretty bad too, wontons look like they were made by children and the soup base is a like a mix of water and Lee Kum Kee oyster sauce.
3)Chinese pastries has a deep "buttery" taste. Every Chinese pastry that I've eaten in SF gives me an aftertaste of a greasy croissant. Some Chinese pastry shops even treat their pastries like cow dung, the pastries are deformed and you see flies hovering over them. I was like gosh...do these folks actually make money selling this kind of stuff?
Further, SF is more known for its native, trendy and liberal Cali fusion cuisine..and not genuine ethnic food. You have stuff ranging from "nyc deli", "kung fu egg roll", "erotic sushi" to "orgasm pasta".
I remember seeing a run down Kosher place located in some narrow section of Chinatown. Believe me, no NYC Jewish person will go to that place for Kosher food. Some NYC fried chicken joint or Chinese take out place is more Kosher than that place!

"yo I just did a bit of trig and it turns out the curvature of an 1.2 mile section of the earth is about 1/17th of an inch. I think the Golden gate bridge is just curved cuz it's curved. damn I'm a nerd. oh well, that's what happens to people who enjoy math but suck at it ..."
Yeah, you are probably right. I don't think that short of a bridge would need to be curved all that much. Remember when they had the 50th anniversary thing though? When all the people walked on it? They said the arch actually got flattened a couple inches from all the weight!
"The quest for good eats. Always a problem. I'll take your advise when I'm in SF next time."
So, you come out here often? I think the best way to find the good restaurants is to see which one has the hip, young crowd in it. A lot of restaurants are full of conservative families. Those are good if you want old fashioned, simple meals. If you want something more modern, just check out the places where the cool kids hang.

animal lover,
Well you know as a convicted repeat sex offender in the USA, I always fear the castration police just hiding somewhere to jump me. ^_^
That's why I scratch myself in public to make sure everything is intact. ^_^
Dogs and sterilization...I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

girl,
Well that would be a dilemma. But that's why it's a threesome. Need 2 votes at least. I suspect someone would be spayed after our night out. ^_^
