WHAT YOU SAY

hmm...i'm half toisan as well. a bit insulting to have people talk about my grandparents in this way. but comforting to know that those who would stoop to this level are ones whose opinion we generally will not care for anyway.
by the way, hong kong and toisan people get along just fine. it's the hong kong and taiwanese people that don't get along. it's true. check it out at yellowworld.org. go to 'rant' to check out the forums. hope to see you there, tsj.

AC,
I don't ever recall a 7/11 in SF. If there is one, I would assume it is as expensive as Safeway.
It's funny how NY has like 20 Krispy Kremes even in the poorer sections while SF has none.
Btw, I think I could become wealthy by establishing a Krispy Kreme franchise in SF. Everyone out there complains about driving crosstown to some place for Krispy Kreme because their city doesn't have one.
I'll make just as much or even more than some techno geek from Silicon Valley. The supply and demand is in my favor.
Toi San Jai,
"Hey, you probably know I'm Toi San myself, but I can't stand Toi San people! They have no manners and are so annoying."
Hell yeah! What's worse is when you see the old folks picking up the garbage from the streets. I see them digging up the trash piles for refundable beverage containers, leftover food, rotten fruits, and even discarded cooking oil (I suppose these idiots want to save some money by using leftover oil from the restuarants). Annoying? well, when one of them comes up to you and say "ah doi" can you finish your soda and give me the can..? haha..
What's even worse is when you see some of the children start acting like their cheap ass parents...hahahaa.

LSD,
No 7/11 in SF. You sure about that.

TSJ,
A&F made the news again for thong underwear with overtly sexual messages for 10 year girls.

"Chinese restuarants in South Bay serve good food because the cooks out there are from HK and Taiwan, unlike SF where you get these poor old Chinaman Toi San types who can't cook for sh*t! The problem with SF Chinese restuarants is that they serve old school Chinese food, and will always continue to do the same."
Hahaha... that's hilarious, and true too. Take a look at the kitchen in most SF restaurants. They are filthy as hell, and the cook is probably some fat, really tan Toi San guy with hair greasier than John Travolta's, and an old holey, sweat soaked t-shirt on. Is that your idea of fine dining? haha
There are a couple of decent places in Sunset on Noriega Street. I only go there because I work close by. Otherwise, I would never go anywhere near there. Irving Street (new SF Chinatown) has more, but it is really dirty and cramped there. Clement in Richmond (not to be confused with Richmond, CA or Richmond, BC, which both have much better dining) is also another spot, but the parking is horrible, and you are right. It is full of annoying Toi San poas.
Hey, you probably know I'm Toi San myself, but I can't stand Toi San people! They have no manners and are so annoying. If you want to kick it with more sophisticated HK and Taiwan people, get the hell out of the city!
