That is what it is supposed to mean...ie., this is Hollywood's reasoning.."even a black man is tempted to leave an AF for WF." Hence your impression is not wrong.

1. AF will always swoon for an WM

Mostly true...at least regarding Asian American Females. May not be true in Asia. The goal there is to get out of poor countries.

2. WM can trifle with AF like a toy.

That is what many WM do...good to play around with but not to marry as it would not "look good on the family." In a different board you do allude to this about your cousin.

3. WF are better looking than AF and more fascinating. (The white female here is said to be betterlooking than a "sun goddess") WF are the real shiznit.

The world looks at WF with envy. If folks in Singapore and elsewhere stop buying magazines with WFs on the cover, the aura of the WF would decline. So far I know only certain organizations..mostly in Singapore that do not give in to the aura of whiteness.

4. Whole scenario helps elevate the WM into sex god. Even if he is mofo ugly.

Same point as (3). Asians should stop watching movies with all white cast and even sitcoms such as Friends...I have tried explaining this to my sister but she says that it is her TV and she would watch what she wants.

Happens all the time in relationships between South Asian males (especially the whiter looking ones to whom the WFs are attracted to) and White Females (see India Family Main Menu website). White looking South Asian men get white girlfriends and fool around with them and dump them because it would not "look good on the family (South Asian)", and go home and get their marriages arranged to a "decent girl." Actually, I even know of South Asian men who were married to white women for green card, but dump them after they get it and go home and get their second marriages arranged!! And one did commit suicide. So in some respect it works both ways.

I don't disagree that in Western/American entertainment there is some skewing in the sex roles of the races.

Okay how about "The Wedding Banquet" AM dumps AF, for a WM.

But there is a Maggie Chueng film. Where she has sex with a white guy and an asian guy. Gets pregnant. Dumps the white guy. Get together with asian guy. Then spends the rest of the movie going is the kid going to have "blue eyes" or "brown eyes." It's a pretty funny movie.

This is a total side note. But I don't think Ming-Na does nudes in films. So that's why that scene isn't there. If she did nudes, no producer in the world wouldn't want that (even body doubles). I'm not a hollywood insider, so I have no idea what involve in fimmaking. Just an educated guess.

Suicidal Females due to unrequitted love is a total Asian thing right now. Maybe Victorian Europe also, but that time has passed in Western culture.

I guess you can submit a screen play for "madame whitey" and get Ang Lee to direct it and it will be okay.

I saw a pretty wierd film a while back. It was about an Indian family that immigrated to Africa, while it was a white colony. Then the blacks revolted and the family came to American South because the country was a "Black Africa for Blacks only." It was a weird identity issue the indian kids had.

This is due to the fact that, regardless of race, Roselyn Sanchez is BETTER LOOKING! She has more curves and an overall more sultry look. If Zhang Ziyi had a body like that, the cameras would have panned and scanned all over her too. On the flip side, Latinas haven't had much exposure either in Hollywood, and their population is waaaay greater than Asians, so this is good for them. Isn't it great how there are Chinese, black, and Latina stars in the movie, but hardly any white? Now, that's what I call a breakthrough.

Patrick... no Asians starring in Hollywood movies or TV shows?! I got two words for you - Kristin Kreuk... rrRRrrRR. As far as I'm concerned, she's the only Chinese girl I need to see on TV.
