AC dropout,

Kudos to your friends. Your friend's balls hang below his knees. I think he also should have asked those black guys to stop rapping in ebonics and start speaking English.

seriously self pride is worth alot more and i would beat the living fuk out even more if the guy i was arguing with called me a chink or gook whatever, ill make him cry in front of everyone, going to college and getting a good job wont do shit, seriously you need to seize the moment and show to all the other people watching that you wont put up with the shit and if you dont then it will keep on happening and even when you get a good job and you look back youll always regret the day that you let it happen. TRUST ME, I KNOW... just dont kill him make him beg or cry, its very affective you will gain alot of respect from other students.

Let the dogs have their day. You are only in high school. For your tormentors, this is the best time of their lives. That is, this is it for them. Think about that. If high school is the best time of your life, imagine how bad the rest of your life will be. Keep doing what you are doing and don't lose focus. Have fun dealing with the few decent people, but just remember that the majority of people you meet will not be good people, regardless of race, religion, creed, or sexual orientation. As my friend says, "All people suck... all the time."

Phoenix Tears;

You are lucky you were even 5'7 in 10th grade I was even smaller than you at that age.

You got to start lifting weights and use Met-Rx. You can get it at your local Health food store. You take it in addition to your regular meals. If you want to get even more weight faster, use milk instead of water when you make the 16 oz. drink, believe me you will gain weight!!!

You also should do basic exercises first like Push-ups, Squats and pull-ups and crunches. It doesn't matter how much you do as long as you do it. Do these for about a month until you can do about 100 crunches, 100 push-ups, 200 squats and 10 pull ups.

Then when you have enough money, get a weight-bench and a starter weight of 200-lbs which should be more than enough. Get some basic weight-lifting books and start exercising.

At the same time get into a Kung-fu or Karate class, if anything it will take you into another dimension and way of life for you. While your other colleaques are busy rapping and doing drugs, you are entering into another way of life, the life of the Philosopher and Martial Artist. Believe me it will change your life in ways you will not imagine.

Don't listen to KEVIV or the others who tell you to give up and go back to China. I suspect these A-holes are either White Asses or Kow-tow Asian who think they are weak compared to Whites.

NO! Read AC Dropouts posts and others who teach you empowerment and pride. You can still call a Nigger a Nigger and Whitey a Honkey or Cracker or White piece of Bread and a Spic a Spic if they bother you. You don't have to take their shit anymore. You are not justifying your anger but expressing it. It is negative to deny your anger. Express it and move on.

I wish I could help you because when I grew up I didn't have anyone to turn to either. They either wanted me to conform or kow-tow to them but I do not submit to Assholes. I would rather fight than submit.

You can still win this mentally as well as physically. But at least this time you have a choice.

Phoenix*Tears,

I'm in my late twenties, so it has been close a decade since I been in HS.

It is good to hear that you do not sink to the level of those around you and use racial slurs as a means.

But be strong and don't let people push you around. Make a list of taunts to quickly throw back at people, you'll get some respect for being witty. Pheonix sounds like a redneck hick place. You can always start making up taunts in that group, if they are picking on you.

HS is the beginning of politics in the real world. Perception management, group dynamics, and social ranking all come into play. If you treat it like a game and don't let it get under your skin, it can actually be fun.

I would rarely get involved in physical confrontations back then, unless money was on the line. But in that instance there was a friend who will not take it anymore. It is at that point that because he was with 3 standup asian that we decided to back him.

I would like to say that a lot of you have very broad perceptions. If you don't mind me asking, how old are you, AC Dropout?

In addition to all the matters both of you mentioned, I'd like to say that sometimes when people call you names or make fun of you it is out of jealousy and desperation. It seems that everytime you get in a fight with someone, their first "reason" to hurt you is mentioning that you're Chinese or comments of your heritage/appearance. Because they can think of no better excuses than that you are Chinese. Most likely, you do better than them academicaly, are a better friend/son/daughter, a more talented student, and overall...a better person.
That had always bothered me. I rarely get into fights because those people are not worth my time or thoughts; but I had never used a person's skin color or background, or one's looks, or one's disability agaist them, because I know IT HURTs. I don't know why, however they hurt me, I will not allow my self to hurt them the same way. It makes me very mad. Like AC Dropout's example of his fight against 3 African-American guys... I'd have never hurt their feelings by mentioning their skin color. Then people take for granted that I cannot stand up for myself and push me further.

I know that talking to my parents is useless, because my parents will just want to talk to the principal or teacher, and that will not solve the problem permanently. The only way to do that is through myself. It is very difficult, because I'm still in high school (10th grade) and I'm 5' 7" and weigh 100 lbs, so the only way to "win" through this is "mentally."

Sorry this is so long, but getting this off my chest felt so much better. I'd appreciate your opinions or if you could share your wiser knowledge with the rest of us who still must survive our high school careers. =)

Azn MoFo,

Here is another suggestion for you and your sister. Keep a record of every racial incident against you. Don't let it overcome you, make sure you overcome racism by being the best. While you're in grade school, you may be limited in your actions, but after high school, the world is yours - that is, what you desire it to be.

You can write stories about overcoming such difficult incidents. College admissions and graduate schools love to hear stories of how people can overcome adversities, and even succeed. College is where Asians dominate. Get good grades, and take the good careers away from the stupid racists. You can also spread your stories to encourage diversity training and programs in college and your workplace, which so many racists detest.

Remember, if you're letting the racists get to you, they're the ones winning. Bu you can make yourself the winner in the end. It's up to you.
