hehehe come on we are Asians we are all naturally skinny. Dieting is for white and non-Oriental peoples who are generally fatter, bigger boned, and in my opinion not as good looking

THanks for your comments "B Lee" and "Tall Chinese Girl." Appreciated. I was just wondering....cuz, I look at myself in the mirror and I'm like...geez, I need to gain some weight....and then their are others who say I'm just right. I guess my eye balls are just warped and I should just be happy with what I have.
Tall Chinese Girl! Wassup!!! Haven't met anyone my height....thanks for your response! =)

to everyone out there, i read this "thing" about japanese women where 68% said that women said that 52kg(115lbs) was their absolute limit. 30% even said they'd start dieting at 50kg(110lbs). Because most Japanese women are generally 165cm or less, extra pressure is put on taller girls to weigh the same as shorter ones. True Asians are generally slimmer then white and all but the BMI table is not western or asian because it isn't a survey or anything, it is a weight chart that says what weight healthy is. No matter what culture you are, healthy is the same.

I don't know about anyone else, but this might be the first year that I actually lose weight this X-mas! For some reason, I haven't been eating as much as I usually do. Could this be a miracle? Nay. I have developed a few tricks.
1. Eat on a small plate so the servings look bigger.
2. If you like cranberry sauce, don't eat it with you meal, save that for desert.
3. Create a very deep conversation at the table. Normally we talk, laugh, & eat. This year, we talked about things of fun AND importance.
4. Lastly, instead of eating the relaxing, we went outside & played. We played all day before & after rather than playing poker, uno, or chess.
These are my little tricks. Does anyone else have any secrets that they would like to share?

I think we live in a very sick society that places WAY too much emphasis on having "the perfect body." Even if a person has an attractive face, if he or she it too thin or too fat, they are not considered "attractive." I think we should all just realize that we have ONLY ONE life to live, so might as well enjoy it! Eat enough to be full, make sure you get some exercise, and stop hating your bodies!

I think it's good to have role models that are in your weight category since it is just not natural/healthy/possible for everyone to fit into the "skinny" category. I would like to see a pretty Kate Winlset type of Asian become a popular actress. But the chance of that happening seem pretty slim (haha!)

anyway, I used to have a Kate Moss look but was extremely tired and weak all the time. Now I am a fatter thing and feel much healthier, but everyone keeps telling me to lose weight since I am about 20 lbs (and "6" sizes --from size 6 to a size 12) bigger than I used to be. It's hard to listen to. But at the same time, it usually is coming from people who's own weight is not exactly in control anyway(they are even fatter than me!!), so you know what I think about that? they are just being a bully because they don't like their own bodies. still, it makes me feel kind of ugly.

from "rolls on my belly" to "I understand" --I am changing my eating habits already and it is making a small change. also I have been told that if you suck in your gut and hold it "flat"(but still breath/not holding your breath) for say, 30 seconds at a time, it counts as "isometric" exercise --have been doing this for a few days since you can do while sittng/standing/walking/lying down, and it's making a (small) difference. I couldn't find your link, but I will probably see about joining a gym in the new year if there's a good deal offered somewhere low-key (i.e. not a meat market)

thanks for your help

To Lym
That is not true that black men like big women they like thick women. Women like me thick with big breast, bootie, nice hips. I'm skinny to.
