WHAT YOU SAY

Do you guys get dizzy and feel faint when you stand up? It happens to me every single time! If I'm squatting on the floor, or bending over to pick something up, all it takes is for me to straighten up or stand up and I see stars wobbling all around my head and then, my vision clouds over with shooting stars, and then I hear this high whining noise in my ears, and then I have to grab onto something fast to steady myself, or I'll topple over! There's been a couple of times I've missed grabbing onto something and actually fell on the floor (ouch!). But lucky for me, it only lasts a few seconds, and then the blood returns to my brain and I'm ok again. I think this is a sign of anemia, but I seem to have plenty of blood in my body (every time I get cut, I bleed plenty well) and my blood is pretty red, so I know I've got some iron rusting in there somewhere. I went to a doctor once and he gave me some big brown horse pills that pregnant women take for energy and iron. It made my (you know what) turn green! So I stopped taking it.

to me
Yeah...me too (sigh). I hate girls who wear size 0! (hehehe, sorry Be) They are just so pretty and small. I'd be lucky if I could squeeze my fat bottom in a 4. This depends on the clothing manufacturer though. Some are kinder than others and the size is larger than normal and I can actually put on a 4, otherwise, it's more like 5.

AC Dropout:
I dont have the symptoms of any of the gastroenterological diseases. I dont bleed or have any associated pain...I just have diarrhea, but I wouldnt say its frequent. That doesnt really bother me as much as my constant hunger and weakness as a result of the hunger. My family and friends tease me about having worms...since I appear to eat constantly but never gain weight. I'm starting to wonder, if that could be true.

me:
Unfortunately, none of us are born perfect. Think of it this way...we all have issues, but they're different kinds. You may be envying size 0 girls, but they may be jealous of other qualities about you.

chicky poo:
I think you're right. Thanks for the information....palafer, I'll make a note of it.

Hannybunbun:
I dont like curry, and I'm not sure if I consume much msg. You're right though, it could be the food...I enjoy eating leafy vegetables...which I heard help digest food. Also, I think asians, in general, have low tolerance of alcohol.

This is the weird thing that I havent been able to figure out. When I first started college, I drank a glass of milk each day, and I gain 5 lbs that year...but I dont recall feeling weak and hungry like I do now. The following year, I stop drinking milk...but ate more than I should...b/c eating became an excuse for me to take a break from the intense studying. Surprising, that year when I came home from college, my family and friends were shocked at how skinny I was (turns out, I lost 5 lbs...which is a big difference for someone my size). The year after that, I went back to my regular eating pattern (w/o the milk) and havent been able to gain back the 5 lbs. It's been like that ever since. So now I'm thinking, maybe I should be eating more fattening food/drink (like the glass of milk I had taken each day) to keep me from feeling hungry all the time. At the same time, I dont want to eat those food with high content of fat if its going to be unhealthy for me. What do you think?

Hi Be,
I hope you get checked up by the doctor to make sure everything is okay. It could be something like low blood sugar, I know I have to eat very tiny frequent meals throughout the day, mostly snacking to keep my blood sugar level. But please get it checked.
As far as digestive talk, my husband and many many of our Asian friends swear that there are certain things that they cannot eat without an immediate exit to a restroom. Curries, and anything loaded with MSG, such as Asian buffets, are examples. Also, if any of them drink more than a teaspoon of beer, wine, alcohol, they turn bright red all over and hot and are immediately drunk.
The good side of that is I never have to worry about my husband being an alcoholic, since he cannot stand more than a teaspoon , so he does not drink.

be --

you should definitely get checked for anemia. They might suggest some iron supplements like palafer. I used to be tired like you all the time, and feel kind of like fainting/generally weak too, but now that I take this supplement (you have to get a referral from your doctor) you will be feel much more energetic.

be- Sorry if I sounded nasty about that size 0 comment, but yes to be honest I do hate you (just kidding, sorta). I guess I'm just jealous and that's my own issue. I used to have a friend that was 5'9 and like 110 lbs, she ate whatever crap she wanted and was still stick thin, I couldn't stand to be around her.

be,

You might want to see an Doctor that specializes in Gastroenterology.

If you feel you are passing food too quickly.
