HI,

I'm "CuriousGirl" and there's also a "curious girl", hehehe, anyway, just so ya'll know we're two different person. I'm the "CuriousGirl" aka Alyssa, hehehe.
Anyway, that's cool that you guys/girls think that I look fine.

It's kinda funny, I knew this one viet girl, and she told me that I shouln't be gaining weight and stuff, and she usually says that I look big, just because her bone is smaller than mine, she looks just like a stick because her bones is so small, and she was really surprised that I wear the same size clothes that she does, hehehe,

ha just so you know, my waist measurement at that time was an inch shorter than her, when we measure each other and and she seemed mad when she found out, she always think that I'm "fatter" than she is.Sheesh...

Anyway, I don't really care about being skinnier than who, nor do I go on a diet. Actually I've been trying to gain some weight, because I feel somewhat like a "cardboard" hehehe, but it's hard for me to eat alot of cause I gotta go to school at whichever hours, I would like to be a little rounder, have some more "meat" hehehe.

I truly don't understand why there are some guys who are into super "skinny to the bone" gals. Cause if I'm a dude, I'd like girls who are from slender to average and round is good.

Oh, yeah, I'm vietnamese, my last name "Nguyen" hehehe, I know every viet people has that name.

I think media, peers, modeling industry and body image are what influences women from all backgrounds to develop eating disorders today .

I'm of Asian background I have been Anorexic off and on since I was 10 now I am 22 I have caused alot of damage to my body for my selfishness.

I have mitrovalve-prolaspe and an anyerism in my heart from the damage and allmost died last summer from being 20 lbs. underweight.

The worst part I beleive was putting my family&friends thru pure hell it's not worth it.

I am recovered now I've relasped once and hopefully never will again now I am healthy at my normal weight range and doing well with recovery now.

I consider myself lucky I didn't die .

A Dom
God, telling a woman who is 5'10 and 126 to lose weight? The agency should be forced to pay for her inpatient treatment when she's admitted for anorexia/malnutrition. That's horrible.
I agree that we all as women should stop letting weight and appearance dictate how we feel about ourselves, and focus on more important things like getting degrees, buying our own cars and houses, and finding a great guy. But I think for women their self-esteem is so inextricably linked to their physical appearance that it's almost impossible to avoid this trap. I mean yes you could live like a hermit, read no magazines, watch no tv, see no movies, that might help. But I like magazines and tv and movies!
