WHAT YOU SAY

[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
Ah. there is so much pressure on females to look only one certain way. From the time I was 16 until I was 22 I suffered with an eating disorder. I never say anorexia is cured, only that it is under control and under wraps. When I went from a size 10 to a size 2 that is when I felt as if I was going to die, but recieved so much praise on how fabulous I looked and even how "healthy" I looked.
That last comment is ironic and funny because just because I was skinny, they equated that with being healthy, when actually I was very unhealthy and sick. It progressed from salads to an only liquid diet. When I finally passed out in a public place and had very bad heart palapitations and ended up in the emergency room getting Glucose, it really hit me how ridiculous it was. I loved life, so what the heck was I doing? But it took me 2 years after that to be able to eat "normally" .
So now, years later, I am back and forth between a size 6 and 10 and I am 5'7. And I work out, rarely eat junk food, etc. But that is what seems normal for me because that range is what I naturally stick at no matter.
Some women are healthy at a size 1 because that is what their bodies naturally are, they are petite, and some women are very unhealthy and starving themselves at a size 1.
Being skinny and being healthy are not always related. Because someone is stick thin does not mean they are necessarily healthy, unless that is their naturally beautiful selves, like a petite woman. It depends on the persons body type.

Thanks for your support, sister, but...sorry to disillusion you. I'm not really all that white. I'm mostly Asian. But that's OK, we're still sisters anyway. That person love em and leave em sounds very cynical and unhappy with life in general. I don't think we should take his/her comments too seriously.

I know plenty of HOT people, both male and female, who are not physically stunning, but mentally and charismatically, they are Da Bomb! If we could only get that lucky...

To me Weight is really not something to worry about unless you're obese. What people need to know is that you you need to love yourself for who you are and not what you are or what you weigh. All this crap about "I want this person's figure wait...no....I want this person's body" Or how about" I want Jennifer Lopez's Body" all this stuff about who's body looks the best is making me sick. If you're born with a figure to die for then you just are, but if you're not you're not and need to get over it. I'm not saying this to be mean or rude but I just want everyone men women young or old to love their bodies to embrace the bodies That God (or who ever you believe in) gave you. If you have any Questions or comments, Or just need some one to share your feelings with S/O e-mail. Me my mail is listed as confidential so Please e-mail me if you need someone to give you advice. DON'T BE AFRAID. What you tell me is only between me and you. If you're anorexic then I can help you over come it if you want. I wont ask you your name or were you live. I can help you with this disorder before it is too late.

love em and leave em,

Quit crackin' on MLK will ya? I liked her analogy quite a bit! Being comfortable with yourself and who you are on the inside really do contribute to your overall appearance. I know some people that are only average in looks, but because they have that special "something", confidence, charisma, or they just don't care how they look, they somehow come across as really hot!

Props from you white sistah MLK. ;)

??????????

If you read back a couple of pages, you will understand my post. Taken out of context, it's quite silly and not very coherent.

And here, I thought I was being quite creative. You don't like my creative works, no? :)

Oh yeah! Some days, I'm on the back of a Harley Davidson, tearing down the freeway like a bat out of hell, and hanging on for dear life to a stud wearing a helmet, and for the life of me, I have no clue who he is!!!

Just joking about that. I've actually never been on the back of one of those motorbikes although I'd love to try...but I heard that you gotta at least be able to ride a bike to ride a motorcycle...and I can't even ride a bike! Well, except for the exercise ones at my jym...does that count?

"I've been living in Hong Kong for a while and I've noticed that the people there are becoming fatter too, especially the kids. It's not rare to find a really morbidly obese person."

Alright! Go MickeyD's! MickeyD's is going to take over the world and make everyone fat, and then noone can say "Ugh disgusting fat Americans" anymore.

I've been living in Hong Kong for a while and I've noticed that the people there are becoming fatter too, especially the kids. It's not rare to find a really morbidly obese person these days even on the subway. And McDonalds seems to be surprisingly popular here too. Seems like every McDonalds is crowded morning to night and there are McDonalds everywhere
