Sexual Adventurer Rick Lee (Page 3 of 3)

GS: Are you more highly sexed than the average guy?
RL: Probably so.. As it is, I am quite possibly the most promiscuous Asian American man in existence.. [lol].

GS: Who is Tony? He is mentioned alongside some of the photos on your site?
RL: He is an old friend from the 90’s. We used to go to the same clubs to pick up on girls back then and we eventually became friends and we got into videos at the same time. Also, he introduced me to my first ever swinging event.

GS: What are the biggest difficulties in operating Asian-Man?
RL: Finding an Asian guy who can do exactly as I do. Not only the sex part but the scouting, filming, writing, etc.

GS: Why do you want someone to do exactly what you’re doing?
RL: So I don’t have to do it myself and add variety to the site.

GS: Other than porn videos, what other products and services does Asian-Man offer?
RL: Not much aside from dating advice. As I mentioned before, profits is about last on my list for the site. So I never really got into selling DVDs, shirts, etc.

GS: Is Asian-Man profitable enough to support you and its operation?
RL: Considering I originally did not intend to make any substantial profits from the site, I have done very well with it. Virtually all profits from the site were invested in assets that yield a return, so those returns bring in enough to support the operation for basically as long as I live. In fact, I think I’ll get much more from this “Asian Man Fund” than my Social Security checks by the time I retire. But aside from that the site does generate enough revenues that continues to make it a profitable entity on its own.

GS: Have you had other Asian guys participate in your Asian-Man sexual adventures?
RL: Yes I have, a few times.

GS: Tell us a bit about your family background and your childhood.
RL: Normal childhood, normal family. The only thing that might be different is that my parents never insisted on me dating Asian women only.

GS: Tell us about your educational background.
RL: Graduate degree.

GS: Tell us about your hobbies and interests.
RL: If you would have asked me this 5 years ago, maybe even last year, it would have been sex, sex and more sex. Nowadays, I just spend time with my girlfriend, my family, friends, my pets, traveling, looking for new business opportunities, etc.

GS: Does your family know about your Asian-Man activities? If so, what is their reaction?
RL: They know I’ve always been into women but they don’t know the details.

GS: Does your girlfriend know? If so, what’s her reaction?
RL: Yes she knows. She wasn’t too thrilled in the beginning but she knows me by now and understands my perspective and why I did it.

GS: Did you meet your girlfriend through your Asian-Man activities?
RL: Actually no. But I did meet her on the internet.

GS: Now that you have a girlfriend, have you quit porn acting?
RL: I quit doing video couple of years ago before I had my girlfriend. There is a time for everything and in 2008 I decided it was time to make my sex life private again. I proved my point and didn’t really need to expose myself in public anymore.

GS: Do you feel that Asian-Man.com has fulfilled the purpose for which you created it?
RL: Yes, it fulfilled the original purpose of fighting the asexual Asian male image. Also, it led to the awareness of this big problem among many Asian American males and the creation of other sites that have followed my ideas. Asian American males can now point to the existence of images of us being men like everyone else, no longer do we have to watch Asian women getting banged by everyone else but us and call it “Asian Porn”.

GS: Do you have any future plans relating to Asian-Man or the mission of providing sexual role models for Asian American men?
RL: Asian-man.com fulfilled my original purpose. The new site I am working is called http://asianmendatingadvice.com/. It it focused on helping Asian men develop their dating skills.

GS: How has creating Asian-Man.com changed you?
RL: I feel a sense of fulfillment in that I have been able to help the community which I belong to. Technically speaking it’s not something I can talk about at a dinner party obviously. But just knowing that a young Asian male out there can find some confidence in himself by visiting my site makes me feel like I was able to help. I think it helps provide the one dimension of us that is often neglected by our own Asian American media. And if we don’t help ourselves, nobody else will do it for us. I mean, think about this. I first contacted Goldsea.com 9 years ago (I have that email saved in my inbox) to put the word out on what I wanted to do. It took 9 years to get some attention but I am glad you are paying some attention to the issue.
