Are AA Women the Real Victims of Prejudice?
sian women get a free ride at the expense of Asian men. That's the received wisdom here in the U.S. This belief appears premised on the suspicion that American society sees Asian women as sexy exotics in need of rescuing from the cold clutches of Asian men who don't know how to smile except evilly.
The real victim?

Credit Hollywood for its tireless casting of Asian women as sexual accessories to white heroes while suppressing the very existence of Asian men except as unsavory paper tigers. Credit too the TV networks that uncover bevies of talking Asian women but rarely their male counterparts.
In fairness this media fantasy of the Asian race was partly inspired by recent history. Devastated and impoverished Asian nations sent tens of thousands of war brides and orphans, followed by several million desperate immigrants willing to hock their identities while toiling to build new lives.
Male-dominated societies toast new women as exotic sexual prospects while suppressing new men as an exploitable lower class or even enemy aliens. The women get all the breaks and the men get all the lumps. Even worse, the women have their heads turned and adopt a scornful attitude toward their own men. So goes the complaint of some AA men.
The women have a different take. Sexual predators bearing insulting stereotypes must be fended off while coping with women who see them as unfair competitors. Add to that the pain of being scorned as sellouts by AA men for no more reason than their apparent welcome by American society. Worst of all, complain AA women, is being begrudged the right to take simple pleasure in their own identities. How much easier just to face straightforward racial prejudice!
Do Asian women really have an easier time in America? Or do they suffer from the double-whammy of insulting stereotypes from non-Asians and unfair persecution from Asian men?

A bit wary of American AFs:

She even got fired from where we worked at the time, she was that awful. And not long ago, I was standing in line at a store, and 2 AFs were talking about how their cousin only likes white girls..."
Wow, you judge all American-born AFs based on a wide-ranging sample of 3 AFs. How intelligent of you. For the one AF fired, I can tell you about lots WFs fired for sheer incompetence.
Maybe you don't like American-born AFs because we've learned American assertiveness and won't take crap from ignorant, uneducated WFs like you?

Oh my god!
I just watched the most pathetic show ever created. Anyone heard of "ElimiDate"?.
Here's the scenario. 2 blondes, 1 latino, 1 asian girl. Of course, 1 white guy. Obviously white men need reassurance of their desirability.
AF gets picked off first because "god's gift to women" says she was trying too hard. Hah to her.
Then they go to a sushi place and each sushi off a naked Japanes girl. At this point I stopped watching.
I have a feeling this crap was spewed out by Fox.
Although I got the message loud and clear though. AF are worthless people who try too hard to get their universally sought after white man. However, they make great dinnerware if you're ever eating raw fish with 2 blondes and a latino girl lusting after your godlike physique.
One look and I thought this guy was gay.
Whether they're victims of prejudice and a bad image is irrelevant when it seems they try their hardest to live out the life that the white man has scripted for out for them.
Anyone else see this piece of garbage show? I'm surprised they didn't put in some asian guy just to have him turned down by everyone so all of America can see what a fine specimen the gay white guy is.

About the car. About 3 years ago, my brother was dating this Chinese girl in Toronto. Our family ended up buying a new car for him at the time too. I see a rather expensive trend shaping up here.
Anyway, the new car he has now wasn't because of a raise or anything. I guess it could've been him who wanted to car. But again, the trend mentioned above keeps making think it's because of something else.

Hello, some thoughts:

You shouldn't attack the Asian men on this site for being angry at the Gender Divide. Obviously you prefer white women and therefore cannot identify with the Asian men on this site who love and remain loyal to Asian women.
The attitude of some AF towards AM is infuriating, but not nearly as infuriating as AM like you who prance around with your white women and then cop an attitude.
You also wrote, "What's funny is I've seen Asian guys give my girlfriend and I the most attention like...Asian Pride!!--wow! he's going out with a white girl...score one for the brother!"
Let me answer that one for you...No, I DON'T (and I think I speak for others on this board) think of you as an example of Asian pride. People like you are a thorn in the side of Asian people around the world.

Hey, even though I'm an AF, I still get stereotyped by non-Asians and Asian men alike. Besides which, I don't see my Asian guy friends get treated differently, in our city, which is in the midwest, there's no difference in the looks an Asian would get on the street as a Caucasian. I agree with whoever said who the hell cares who you date... Yea, who the hell really cares if I date an Asian or a non-Asian, as long as I'm happy?!

They are new to this country and do not know or care much about racial problems in this country. They carry other ethnic baggage from back home..Japanese Vs. Korean, Chinese Vs Vietnamese, etc. I am foreign born too..came to this country in the late 1970s. I think it is more acceptable for FOBs to marry whites than other Asian ethnic groups, as I have said a million times before.

They are Americanized. Just like whites in this country no longer worry about Irish/British problems, and are simply white and view others through the prism of skin color, the Asians forget their differences by the second generation and view others and particularly the whites through the prism of skin color and facial features.

Even white women get fired for being mean and not performing. I know of several.

So what. When I was stanidng in line or sitting in a public place, several WFs were gossipping about how their cousins (males) only date AFs, and how lame it was that they would not date WFs.

I think so too! But white women also have a habit of staring at AFs with WMs, which is also rude. Same goes for AFs staring at WF/AM couple.

Actually you are lucky...in Hawaii I have met AFs who are openly anti-white women, particularly anti-white American women. They would say that they have no problem with German or Australian white women, but with American white women. I have also ran into many white women who are openly anti-Asian American women, particularly down south. They also say that they like the Thais and Vietnamese, but do not like AFs in the country (as you do!) So it cuts both ways.

I'm not AM, but my wife is Asian. From my point of view, Asian women undoubtedly have it much easier for reasons too numerous to go into here and it is not just the effect of the media.
