Are AA Women the Real Victims of Prejudice?
sian women get a free ride at the expense of Asian men. That's the received wisdom here in the U.S. This belief appears premised on the suspicion that American society sees Asian women as sexy exotics in need of rescuing from the cold clutches of Asian men who don't know how to smile except evilly.
The real victim?

Credit Hollywood for its tireless casting of Asian women as sexual accessories to white heroes while suppressing the very existence of Asian men except as unsavory paper tigers. Credit too the TV networks that uncover bevies of talking Asian women but rarely their male counterparts.
In fairness this media fantasy of the Asian race was partly inspired by recent history. Devastated and impoverished Asian nations sent tens of thousands of war brides and orphans, followed by several million desperate immigrants willing to hock their identities while toiling to build new lives.
Male-dominated societies toast new women as exotic sexual prospects while suppressing new men as an exploitable lower class or even enemy aliens. The women get all the breaks and the men get all the lumps. Even worse, the women have their heads turned and adopt a scornful attitude toward their own men. So goes the complaint of some AA men.
The women have a different take. Sexual predators bearing insulting stereotypes must be fended off while coping with women who see them as unfair competitors. Add to that the pain of being scorned as sellouts by AA men for no more reason than their apparent welcome by American society. Worst of all, complain AA women, is being begrudged the right to take simple pleasure in their own identities. How much easier just to face straightforward racial prejudice!
Do Asian women really have an easier time in America? Or do they suffer from the double-whammy of insulting stereotypes from non-Asians and unfair persecution from Asian men?

Uh, the White guy Diane Ako is dating is NOT the same White people in Scranton PA who treated her like an outsider. I think he would probably have to be nice, decent and non-racist for her to give him a chance. You're trying to put all White folks in one basket. That's just as bad as some White person judging all Asians based upon the actions of some Asians.

I am not familiar with AA women.
I would love to say about native Asian women here.
The reality what I found from several native Asian women
1>pretty, cute and feminine
(I met several Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Japanese ladies who are originally from Asia and most of them are very cute. And in terms of their manner, they are very amiable, kind and suave. I meant not all of them but general majority,
One of them is now my proud g/f who is from Taipei.Taiwan. :) i am still very hitting on my Mandarin lesson books.
They look very cute even when they fart or burp (really-sorry but I think this is the most extreme expression for how much I love them.)they look very cute when they eat like a glutton. I am serious not for a joke. I like cooking for them gladly)
2>Worth trusting them comfortably:
After the relationship with them (native Asian women)is in the peak (I meant when you completely take her love emotionally) they won't easily stab you to the heart. Sure some of them do,but I meant most of them won't do that unilaterally for their selfish.
So men should feel the guilty in this point, I think most of the breaking case blame for men's uncorncernings or treachery for native Asian women.
3>They are very educational and intelligient.
(Yup,you probably already know they have the most percentage going on to universities or more advanced sachools amongst women in the world.
Most of them at least have one educational hobby such as reading,writing or teaching kids.
when they have kids ,they are very enthusiastic for kids' education.
No worry -they are enough to become the best mother in the world for kids)
What I experienced from 2 AA women,they were all Korean-American women.
well sorry to say this but.. they are big turn off very unfortunately.
The reason why I dislike them is their thought-they looked down me because my English was not good enoughly to exchange ideas smoothly with them.
If they expected very fluent English from me, why they didn't show any faith to prepare for conversations in Korean at least as far as they could?
It is very natural for me not available to speak good English.
I' ve been to America just for a travle one time. so what did they expect from me? All my English was obtained from my school class till high school.
I am still very doubting they are very self hating their own Koreaness, they were the worst version of ladies whom I ve ever met personally.
They are still staying in Korea with teaching English.
I know they still won't show any sign of learning Korean but just always reveal their English and demand something special treatment from naive Koreans. That very sad. :(
So my point is that Native Asian women are generally very adorable and sincere if you show them a true love.
They deserve to take the most sincere love from any guys in the world.
I love them all.
and NO Offence for AA women since the two is just very very few of whole AA women.
I know the most AA women are not like those two of KA women whom I met.
English is just the language that is spoken for British and Americans.
I am not ashamed of my poor English even though it is the official international language and I can benefits if I am good at.
In fact,I don't meet any chances to speak english at least while I am living in here. I am very pleased with staying here.
The better quality life in America is all bullshit- I know it is just for some Americans Not for almost.

It ain't that simple,
I do agree with you in that respect. I was more or less guilty of that with my ex-girlfriend (I'm black, she was corean). She would come to visit to most of my family gatherings, and have to deal with any third degrees that might be tossed at her from family members of mine. Fortunately, a few cousins and relatives are already in IR relationships so she didn't have to deal too much. But I really didn't get the oppurtunity to go to any functions of her family's, or learn anything culture-wise....don't know if that was her own doing, or what....but who can say?

I agree that there are serious issues with whites regarding racism. However, we also perpetuate it. I read a column by Diane Ako who is a tv anhorwoman in Honolulu, in a recent Asianweek...where she says that she was treated like an outsider in white Scranton, PA. Guess what she is doing? She is marrying a white guy....no, not a black guy...a white guy. Asians such as Diane Ako talk the talk but will not walk the walk.

What is it exactly that you have against Asian men and White women dating? Are you an Asian female or male? Why do you hate it so much? Yes it's a free country, but I would like to know why you hate these relationships so much.
