Are AA Women the Real Victims of Prejudice?
sian women get a free ride at the expense of Asian men. That's the received wisdom here in the U.S. This belief appears premised on the suspicion that American society sees Asian women as sexy exotics in need of rescuing from the cold clutches of Asian men who don't know how to smile except evilly.
The real victim?

Credit Hollywood for its tireless casting of Asian women as sexual accessories to white heroes while suppressing the very existence of Asian men except as unsavory paper tigers. Credit too the TV networks that uncover bevies of talking Asian women but rarely their male counterparts.
In fairness this media fantasy of the Asian race was partly inspired by recent history. Devastated and impoverished Asian nations sent tens of thousands of war brides and orphans, followed by several million desperate immigrants willing to hock their identities while toiling to build new lives.
Male-dominated societies toast new women as exotic sexual prospects while suppressing new men as an exploitable lower class or even enemy aliens. The women get all the breaks and the men get all the lumps. Even worse, the women have their heads turned and adopt a scornful attitude toward their own men. So goes the complaint of some AA men.
The women have a different take. Sexual predators bearing insulting stereotypes must be fended off while coping with women who see them as unfair competitors. Add to that the pain of being scorned as sellouts by AA men for no more reason than their apparent welcome by American society. Worst of all, complain AA women, is being begrudged the right to take simple pleasure in their own identities. How much easier just to face straightforward racial prejudice!
Do Asian women really have an easier time in America? Or do they suffer from the double-whammy of insulting stereotypes from non-Asians and unfair persecution from Asian men?

So often I am tempted to do just that except when I think about you and other true sisters.They keep telling me that sellouts are in the minority but they've joined the enemy camp which consolidates their power and boosts their numbers. When things get tough, AF's marry outside their race and get acceptance that way. When AM do that, it's portrayed as some kind of freak anomaly.
White-Mom might not like her son marrying some scrawny "love you long time" girl, but I've never heard of dad objecting. I've heard of Asian-mom complaining that her daughter has to marry rich if she has to settle for her own race.
AM have to fight against stereotypes more so because even good ones are seen as bad (being smart is one). AF's might not like the slut stereotype, but I don't see them doing very much to counteract it.
Anyone who thinks women have it tougher is full of it.

I stumbled onto this site by accident when I was searching for other WFs who've been in my situation. For the most part, I don't really hate or really like AFs one way or the other. However, those individual AFs whom I do not like are the kind who walk around like they think they're the hottest women around, when they are not, and who act like they can pick and choose from any men--White or Asian--when it isn't their right to do so.
I had a serious boyfriend who was stolen away from me by an AF back in college, who had the audacity to come onto him right in front of me as though I weren't even there. Apparently he was stupid when it came to the ways of women and he fell for her hook, line and sinker. His parents were pissed since they were old money from DFW and they cut him off for dating her. He managed to work his way through college, earn his degree and stayed with that little trollop. They ended up graduating, getting married and living in California, raising a bunch of half-breed mongrels. I guess I managed to avoid staying with an idiot who was unwise to the ways of the world.
I know other WFs who've described similar actions on the parts of some AFs stealing their boyfriends. Hmmph! You don't see WFs going up to obviously attached AMs and coming onto them in front of their women. Show some respect already. Geez.

I think your trying to consider the Iran as part of the middle east. Accept it or not there is no such thing as the continent of the middle east. Iran is not part of Europe nor an extended part of Africa. It's within Asia. Therefore, if he is from Iran then he is Asian. Pretty simple isn't it? So far EVERY single person I've ever met from the middle east considers themselves Asian. You can't just consider Asians as just typically being for East Asians. Although in context when people mention Asian they are referring to East Asian. However that in itself is not completely accurate. Asia is a continent that isn't as cut and dry as a lot of people make it out to be. It's people are extremely diverse in many ways.
Whether people of Iranian descent are considered white. Some may have physical attributes and characteristics similar to caucasians however some do not. Some have very dark skin and some look very middle eastern you can't just make a blanket statement on a country that clearly has a range of diversity within it's population.

Iran is clearly not part of Asia? Look at the map again for where Iran is. The country is in Asia. Iranians are Caucasians? Anglos call Iranians sand-n***gers. Iranians are not "orientals", but they are neither Caucasians.

OK people, your racial classifications are somewhat inaccurate. Rudi Bakhtiar is originally from Iran, which is clearly not a part of Asia. Iranians are considered "caucasian", so your statement classifying Rudi Bakhtiar of CNN Headline News as an Asian is incorrect.

Asian Dominatrix, glad to know that we think more alike than I previously thought we did. Keep up the good work, and I'll do my part, too.
For the other people who didn't like my "whining" reference, sorry if I offended you, but I still think there are people out there (AAs and non-AAs alike) who prefer to complain more than to take action. Let's keep the dialogue open and support each other, and let's not automatically shoot down someone who has a different point of view or goes about striving for equality in a different way.

I understand where everyone is coming from as far as the AM's getting to date AF's, but it kinda sounds a tad too much like you're making the white populous out to be this epitome of dating culture, the end-all, be-all, you know? I know a lot of black guys dating white girls, and some just happened to meet them and are truly into them, but some are literally into them just because they're white, period. If you choose to date someone simply because of their race, the whole concept of IR dating may as well be a sham.

I think it's actually kinda cool. It's about time AMs got to date whites. To me, it's no problem if some AMs prefer WFs.
I only despise the AMs who feel that they have to diss AFs: they're as every bit afflicted with sell-outitis as those AFs who diss AMs.
