AA MEN SEEK OUT NON-ASIAN WOMEN

sian women are only interested in non-Asian men and don't give Asian men the time of day. That's the reason cited by many AA men for dating and marrying non-Asians. A minority of AA men say they simply find non-Asian women more physically attractive or more appealing in terms of personality, values and interests. Whatever the reasons, the rates at which young Asian men are dating and marrying non-Asian women are quickly approaching the rates at which Asian women are outdating and outmarrying (about 38%). Some Asian women are complaining that they aren't getting a fair shake because Asian men have been brainwashed by media standards of desirability.
What are the real reasons for so many Asian men seeking out non-Asian women? How do Asian women really feel about this trend? Who benefits most from it? Will the trend continue? We want to hear your views.

Media does have it's influence but not entirly. If it doesn't than why would some company advertise thier product on t.v commercials. Are they wasting around 40,000 on a commercial that will do them no good? I guess not. Media do have thier advantage, it is one way of reaching the mass, so it is why they took it. Media does help, for example, look at nike commercial advertising their name on the media and look at how popular they gotten. And how much shoe they sold and how the young teens wears them and showing how cool they are.
There are many ways to advertise but the media is one of the best way. And it does influence people, if you think "no", then your not seeing it. You too are influence by the media subconsiously. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!!!!

Anyone from any race can be hot as well as not. I been around and from experience, so I know.
Btw Jackie Chan is an icon all over the world. He is an international super star. He is more of an icon in china than anywhere else. Why did you say that Jacki Chan is more of an icon in the middle east. I never know that, where did you get this information? And are you trying to say that middle eastern women likes AM more?

You may or may not remember me. But I saw your photo before on chat, and I still have it. You look like Marsha Brady or something. Your really not so great looking. I think Marsha Brady looks very boring. Wasn't impressed at all. If you think thats whats attractive then you need to look harder in the mirror Kathleen. Maybe get some new updated style of clothes. Maybe even opt for a haircut for a change. Gosh! Your look is too 60s' if ya ask me.

Well, let’s see. Your boyfriend is with you, a white woman and he is not Asian-hating, white-washed or a sellout. Ok, so can we conclude that it is possible for an Asian person to date a non-Asian person and still not be a sellout? If you agree with this, then what do you think makes an Asian person a sellout, if it’s not for dating a non-Asian person?

I don't know about other Asians, but I definitely know all the Chinese guys I've spoken to agree that Persian women are one of the best looking (facially). Chinese people like large noses, small chins and deep eyes in a woman. Middle Eastern women have a very high sophisticated look. Sometimes you also find this among Italian and Greek women as well. There was once this Chinese-American porno guy who posted all his experiences with non-Asian woman. He too admits that the Persian gal was one of his most favorite.
I live near a Syrian Christian church. Many of my old high school mates were Arab Christian. I play darbuka (Arabic drum) occasionally in the parks, and I would see young Arab girls looking over (at me, not the drums). The first girl I kissed in high school was an Arab. That is why I know who is the best.
Muslim girls who wear the veil are not approachable unless you are a Muslim yourself.

Yes, there is a backlash of sorts in the media.

My thoughts are not universal. Just mine. It would be a scary sight if that were so.
And I have 2 answers for you:
1. I was flipping through one of my sister's magazines the other day. We were on a flight to visit family, and I was bored and wanted to check out some babes. There was a percentage of that nature listed.
2. They are brainwashed that being blond gives them more advantages (socially, economically, you name it). Therefore, they dye.
Please re-read my post. I said that it is considered safe in the media to portray Asian female/Non-Asian male relationships.
It doesn't have to be pictures, per se. You see it in commercials, sitcoms, soap operas, the whole shebang.
Yes, it is very good that they did not alter much with the storyline. My whole point was that Hollywood couldn't BECAUSE they were auto/biographical. Capisce?
You gave an either-or argument regarding the media. I think there is a middle ground between the 2 axis.
Sell outs don't know that they're sell outs, until a third party steps in and shoves that reality in front of his/her face.

Too true! Especially girls like Thoughts (aka Backlash), and MLK; Asian women that come on here to try to re-convert Asian men back to Asian women, and insinuate that only they can understand Asian men.
Elizabeth Hurley is beautiful, ask anyone on the street (one of my boyfriend's cousins is absolutely in love with her!). ALL models and actresses spend money on their looks, and so do the rest of us non-Hollywood people.
I agree with Repost that the media has some effect on your thinking, but only if you let it. Noone is forcing you to read that magazine, turn on the TV, and blindly believe everything that they say. I don't let the media make me feel unattractive because I'm not 5'10, 120 lbs and model-perfect. There is this thing called free choice, and many AMs do indeed use it to date non-AFs.

I agree with Sean. And I must also say that I am sick of discussing Middle Eastern women. Are there any other Asian guys like me that dig White and Black chicks? Yea, Middle Eastern women are okay. Most women that come on here are White, Asian and Black and I happen to think they are all sooo beautiful! Who agrees with me? Who also agrees we have heard enough of this 'Middle East is better than all of you' talk.
