WHAT DO WF LIKE BEST ABOUT AM?

hen many people see a pretty white woman with a good-looking Asian man the question that pops into their heads is "Why's she with him?" more often than "Why's he with her?"
It's only natural. We've been told so often about the desirability of white women that we simply presume that an Asian man too would find a pretty white women desirable. But we are left to guess at her possible motives for being with him. Not that there aren't hundreds of thousands of handsome, charming and successful Asian men who, by all rights, should be attractive to women of any race. But we are all too aware that American society has built up many negative preconceptions about Asian men that would take extraordinary consideration, some special X factor, to overcome.
The many examples of famous AM/WF couples (Mr/Mrs Yo-Yo Ma, Ming Tsai, Scott Oki, Charles Wang etc), don't really help, merely reinforcing the common presumption that the AM must be wealthy and able to provide an exceptional degree of financial security, material comfort or social status. Another common suspicion is that he must be unusually charming, cultured or sexually gifted. Then there's the old standby -- that the woman must have some odd fixation on Asian men or Asian culture.
Of course intellectually we know better. Just as there are many independent-minded Asian men who see through blonde bimbo stereotypes to the real qualities of white women, there are white women who ignore stereotypes about Asian men. Which leads to the question: What's the real draw? Is it the black hair? educational level? smooth skin? cultural values? upslanting eyes? personality and character traits? Here's a chance for white women who love Asian men to set the record straight.

I don't think that AM are arrogant, but that doesn't mean that there aren't any arrogant AM out there, theres always someone whose arrogant no matter what race they are. I never grew up with the thoughts that one race of men would be arrogant.

I am a WF, and have been dating an AM for about 4 1/2 yrs now. We plan to get married in about 1 yr after he graduates from college. I was first attracted to him for his looks and his manners, he has the greatest manners than any guy I had ever met, I was quite impressed, and after 4 1/2 yrs. he is still as polite as ever.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I'm sorry if I sounded a little harsh, but I have come across a lot of arrogant Asian men both in real life and on this site. But then again I have come across plenty of normal, down to earth, nice Asian men as well. I guess it's not fair of me to generalize like that. It's just a pet peeve of mine- people that act like they're better than others, that's all. And I know that people like that come in any color.

Majority of Asian men aren't cocky, snobby, or arrogant. There are very few that are, but as we all know any men or women can be arrogant, cocky, and snobby. Don't exclude asian men. This is how I see it, I don't see them as all that. I don't know where you see that from. Where did you get the idea that they are. Just b/c some of your little experience, don't mean that they are. Posts are just posts, people talk about each other all the time, don't get the wrong idea. Anyway, did the place you lived at, are all the asian there cocky? And are you threatened by asian men? Just wondering b/c this may influence your judgement.

The things I like about Asian Men are not only the physical- their smooth gold skin, sleek black hair, toned, slim bodies and nice eyes. The really important things that make a relationship last are personality traits. I often find Asian men to have strong characters, a calm disposition, they treat their girlfriends very well, they are caring, hard working and smart. They have values, and they respect their bodies- a lot of Asian guys I know work out, eat well, don't smoke or drink or do drugs.
The only thing that I can say that bothers me about some Asian men is that some are arrogant, snobby, or cocky. I guess if you are very good looking, extremely successful and wealthy, it might be hard not to be snobby. But I find it a really turn off.
Any other WFs on here care to agree/disagree with my comments?

You are the one who needs to "get a clue." "Mestiza" is a terminology used by the Spaniards when they married nationalities/ethnicities other than European or African. White-black mix is called mullatto(sp?). If you know your history, Spain was once a major colonial power. They controlled much of Latin America and the Philippines. The conquering spaniards called their half-filipino offsprings "mestizo" and "mestiza."
I am Filipino-American and my wife is an American of Russian and Polish descent. Hence, by the definition our baby girl will be born "mestiza." BTW, does it really matter if a baby is "pure bred", "half bred" or "inbred?" No, of course not!! Babies are God's greatest gift. And people are people no matter what. So why make a mountain out of a booger, huh!? This forum is supposed to be about things that attract WF to AM. Stay focused, home boy.

I am in love with China, her culture, history, music, art, food, language--this country and her people have fascinated me since I can remember...so I suppose it is not unusual that I find Chinese/Asian men so attractive--to me, Chow Yun Fat is superb! So masculine, beautiful face, intelligent, a kind of innate nobility that is so very appealing. Recently I had a relationship with a Chinese man in his 30's, though he had to go back to China (he was a student who graduated)--and I loved it! So many things to admire: his sweetness of spirit, his intelligence, his kindnes, his sense of humor--and yes, his smooth skin, his eyes, his body--truth is, we could hardly keep our hands off each other! I am a heavy woman, but very shapely, with an abundant bosom and long dark hair--he just loved that, and this surprised me, since I always believed Asian men liked only delicate, small-built women. We are both artists, and had so much to talk about, and he was so pleased too, that I know so much about China and Chinese culture (this is a life-long study of mine--I am also studying Mandarin Chinese)--I think this was at least half of my appeal for him.
But he is now gone back to China, and I am looking for a sweetheart. Quite frankly, I am tired of American men! What I want is a Chinese man, intelligent, creative, kind, humorous, who likes heavier women and loves to talk and touch and is not too shy in bed, someone who genuinely loves his culture & from whom I can learn more about China. In Chinese astrology, I am an Earth Dog, though within a few days of being a Pig. I am in my mid-30's, well-educated, fascinated with Chinese culture, and live in Georgia.
