I am an African-American male, age 33. Growing up, I lived part of my life in a multi ethnic type community (later I lived in a predominantly white community). To make a long story short, I found that I was mostly attracted to Asian, Indian (North American Indian), and Latian females (who basically looked Indian) --- mostly Asian, though. My attraction to Asian females is due to their skin color and facial features...personality has little to do with it (I've witnessed many personality types in Asian women, and still found them to be attractive). What I never could understand is "their fascination w/ white males?". Out of all the hundreds of Asian females I've meat in my life, only a handful of them seemed interested in dating African-American men. Yes, a lot of Asian females I've met (both form overseas and American born) claim that they find some men of African descent attractive (for whatever reason), however, for some reason, take no interest in dating or pursuing a relationship with them, friendship or otherwise --- they seem mostly or almost exclusively interested in Caucasian men. Is this my imagination, or has anyone else noticed this attitude among females of Asian descent? I wonder why this is?

I really do not care what people's families think.I am black and my family does not care for me to bring anyone who is not black into their house. I used to date white girls in high school, and my dad threatened to send me to live with my Aunt so I could go to a black school. Anyway I love all women, but women who are not black and are curious about the black male myth, well I will tell you with me it is true, so if you want to experience a real mandingo, but want to keep it discreet where your family and friends will not know about it then hit me up and I will let you experience some real chocolate lovin on the downlow.

If you are a Black male like myself, your best bet in finding a loving Asian wife is to place yourself somewhere they are that you normally wouldnt be and then just be yourself.

For example, go to a Chinatown lagnuage school and enroll yourself to learn cantonese or mandarin. BETTER MANDARIN instead. Then, study, work hard and be friendly to the others.

I live in NYC. My girlfriend has parents who (mostly the father)
are bigots towards Blacks, Spanish and other non whites. Whats so silly is, they purposely moved into a JEW neighborhood. They tried to get as much of the family there as they could. Its mostly a JEw neighborhood, not many Chinese.
I met my current Girlfriend in college.
I never really tried to get with her though. I must stress that point. People on this forum consider Black men with Asian girlfriends to have AN ASIAN FETISH. BULLSHIT. I like women, I like their bodies, and I like women with bodies who can cook and clean and make children. THAT IS WHO I AM, LOVE ME OR HATE ME.
Anyway, I used to be interested in Spanish women, White women with fat asses and UK women for their accents + their lovely bodies. I made friends with Jen but never really considered myself her type. FOR ONE THING, I wasnt Chinese and secondly, I am 6'6 and she is 5'9. I like TALL WOMEN. Hence I like White women since they come tall on average.
Jen used my TALENT to help herself do difficult reading assignments and study with. Right there, I shoulda seen the signs. She became persistent in manipulating my time. LIKE ALL WOMEN DO.
She became jealous when Id point out good looking women and she always pointed out my failure to greet her with a kiss if I forgot.

Now I dont know how many REAL CHINESE WOMEN are on this forum but, I must say, in NYC, Chinese people are more prejudice against Blacks than they are of DEATH himself. The mere thought of she and I dating here was bound to be trouble. Her parents are against it. They threaten to through her out the family. SHe is however a good person and she believes that we could have a future together so for now, I deal with her.
Let me also tell you another thing, Chinese women are very careful over their men including Asian women. They will make you spend every moment with them and make you feel bad if you want to do something else. They are so possesive it isnt funny. THEY DONT BELIEVE IN DIVORCE. Once your in, Its like the moffia. YOUR IN and to get out means DEATH!.

So that is my advice, If you think your man enough to take the hassle and the disapproval of the parents, GO FOR IT.
Show them how intelligent you are. LEarn their language. MAke an attempt to learn their customs.
I told Jen I was going to sign up for Chinese and she followed me. She did that so she could watch over me I feel. SHE NEVER HELPED ME learn the language.
I got my tutoring from ANOTHER BLACK guy who leanred the language and got an A in the course named Sheldon. Sheldon fell in love with a girl named MEI Ling but he never got to date her because she was CHinese ONLY!.

So if you do what I suggest and your lucky enough to meet a caring woman who isnt swayed by the RACISM and PREJUDICE TOWARDS BLACKS...Your ok!

Where did you get the idea that Black men are only attracted to some certain women and not some..common now have you got any stats to back it up?

As far as I'm concerned Black men dates women that they find attractive or vice versa! she could be white, indian, chinese or Japanese.

I did not purposely went to seek for her, actually we both have never said oh you know what, you are black and I'm Chinese. we are just two people born and brought up in a civilised country who happened to fell in love and share the same aspirations

GetReal or whatever your name is, you cannot possibly represent all black men by saying that we date only specific type of women from certain part of the world! Anyone can date whomever pleases them or they find attractive to from any race, class or whatever!

Remember there are Black and Asian people all over the world.

Where there are a significant number of different ethnic group or race within a country they are bound to mix!!

Have you guys been to the West Indies?Korea or Japan? South Africa? or even Europe especially United Kingdom and France and some part of Germany? please go and visits and then come back to tell us that it's no big deal afterall dating an Asian be she is Chinese, Japanese, Thai, filipino or korean!

the concern raised by "an informed opinion" was about certain blacks, who seek to be with partners who have straight hair and thinner noses than what is typically sterotyped as being african.(there was no distinction made between what kind of asians, blacks tend to date.) if this is the basis of any interracial interaction, then its up to that individual black person to understand his/her motivations.

secondly,there were two main points raised by "an informed opinion" that get real failed to take into consideration:
1.) racism has and continues to affect how blacks view themselves and others. thus many blacks harbor a strong sense of self hatred. failure to acknowledge is just a case of denial. too many blacks have a perverted concept of what good hair is and some still say "i have indian in me" as way of asserting value to themselves by not being fully black.

2.) there has been intermixing between asians and people of african descent from ancient times to the present. this is seen in jamaica with significant population with chinese and african ancestry, trinidad and guyana with east indians and blacks. definitely in vietnam with the presence of the u.s. military where black soliders sired children with vietnamese women. and we have present models of african-asian intimate involvement. check out the movie 'mississippi masala" with denzel washington.

lastly get real did not even comment on the book recommended titled "the african presence in asia" by runoko rashidi.

since get real did not know who reginald(don't forget the "d") lewis was- we can safely assume get real doesn't know everything. reginald lewis was the owner of tlc beatrice and was the richest black man in america before his untimely death. his wife/widow is filipina. his book "why should white guys have all the fun" outlines his life and personal accomplishments.

if get real is going to be taken serious, he/she must address all the issues raised rather than nitpick on one he/she finds disagreement with. a real thinker would examine the points made, read the books suggested and then give an informed rebuttal. it seems that get real is not about that type of high level dialog.

I believe as a generalization Blacks find the features and body type of South East Asians more appealing than East Asians but of course, as I mentioned this is a generalization. I also think this lean has a great deal to do with the fact that East Asians seem less willing to mix with Blacks than their counterparts.

In essence though Blacks need to first and foremost find other Blacks attractive. I say this because if we don't particularly care for the features and temperment of other Blacks, what makes us think we will be attractive partners to other races?

Oh my gosh! Who said that? Asians have straight noses like Whites? What planet do you live on? Asian women look nothing like White women. If a Black man is attracted to Asian women, it's because he's attracted to Asian features, or even Black features, not because he's attracted to White women. Hell, he's better off dating a Latina, like Jennifer Lopez, if he really likes the "White" look and prefers to date another race besides White. You must be insane or something. Listen, I was looking at some National Geographic Show,they were in Africa, but aside from their hair, I couldn't tell because they had such strong (southern)Asian features. If you wanna talk about straight hair, that's one thing. But, if you're going to talk about facial features of Asians, that's another. Most Black men find, Hawaiin-type or Philippino-type Asian women attractive, and those groups look more similar to Black women than do Chinese or Japanese. Black guys are NOT generally attracted to Northern Asian types; they leave that for White men. So "an informed opinion" was not very informed at all.
