I too live in the Houston area, and I am fascinated with Asian women. I personally think that we are both shy to each others' thoughts about approaching one another as the poll clearlt states above. I'm only 19 and a sopho in college, and my University has PLENTY of beautiful asian women, but they all seem to be taken or put on this facade that they're not interested in black men. I came close to dating ans Asian woman ONCE when I was in Japan. It seems that more foreign asian women like black men more than the Americanized asian women.
But prove me wrong my sweet almondy angels!! E-mail me and tell me your opinion.

Please please stop using your race as a reason for asian female not wanting to date you, does it ever occurred to you that you could simply be butt ugly. Lets face it-MOST people are superfical. If a good looking guy walk down the street next to a butt ugly guy, I would look around for the good looking guy's boyfriend and I would just walk past the ugly unless he have some weird s*** on his face, then I stare at him like he's a freak.

The truth hurts, people have to be more realistic...

My preference- an intelligent, good looking man, since its not possible to have both combination (for some reason, its not in the genetic makeup of males)I'm sticking to my own company. Its rather a lonely road, perhaps one day when I mature, I'll just alter my standards a bit-(stick to just good looking).

According to Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, the term "Black" as according to race, is "of or relating to any of the various population groups having dark pigmentation of the skin, hair, and eyes". Therefore, Tiger Woods "IS" Black --- and technically, so is The Rock (even though he is light complected, like many African-Americans are). And to my knowledge, Cambodians are dark skinned, aren't they?

Furthermore, according to my college history professor, at one time in our country's history (U.S.A.), the term "Black" was applied to anyone who wasn't Anglo-American (Caucasian).

Moreover, if you think The Rock is too light complected to be considered Black, I'll have you to know that even though I'm obviously African in appearance, my family tree consist of Caucasian and Native-American Indian (as with many African-Americans). You can't tell it through me, but on my mom's side of the family, it's quite obvious (they're about the same complexion as The Rock, if not lighter, and they're hair texture is basically straight, not cores). Nobody really knows what they are. In fact, ever since Sept. 11th people now often mistake my mom for a Mid-Easterner (before, people thought she was Hispanic). And just to further my point, one of my mom's brothers use to live in Guam. He showed me pic of himself and the police force he was a part of, and to tell you the truth, he had to point himself out, because he looked just the same as the Chamorros, indigenous to that area (I always told mom he looked Asian). Nonetheless, despite the obvious physical differences, my mom's side of the family are, and may always be, considered Black.

And just to add, I also have a friend who is, what people of my area call "red bone": His skin is light complected, and his hair is of a reddish color. As for his brother, his skin is almost white in appearance, and his eyes are light complected too (I don't know what color they are, I just know they're not brown)...yet they are considered Black.

I'm not trying to pick an argument with you, I'm just pointing something out, that's all.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT: If Tiger Woods is not Black, then what is Rae Dawn Chong (she's half and half...other half being Chinese)?

Apparently Elitism is some psycho, bigoted a_sshole of an idiot, who wants nothing more than to piss people off and stir up trouble on this poll. People of this sort, usually aren't very intelligent (at least not in the "common sense" category). So do us all a favor and don't pay attention to post of this kind (ignore them)...they're not worth it!

P.S. One thing I have learned from reading the post on this poll is #1 "How arrogant people can be" And #2 "How ignorant people can be".

Let me clarify blackness for you. Samoans although from the pacific islands are black , just like half of the population of Fiji (where afro hairstyles were invented)and almost all of the population of that former indonesian island of Irian Jaya(portion now called Papua New Guinea)and so too is most of the people in that indonesian island of Timor (many are mixed with asians now).

More than a third of the populations of Columbia, Venezuela and Brazil are also black. Therefore the fact that someone is Columbian or Samoan does not mean that they are not black also. I suppose you know that at least half of the hispanic population of the USA are also black. I am talking about people from Cuba, Columbia, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico. Hispanic refers to a linguistic affiliation not race or colour. It bothers the shit out of me, when people refer to hispanic, they refer only to hispanics of lighter complexion.

Most of the top athlethes in baseball are BLACK hispanics from the Caribbean islands of Puerto Rico, Cuba and The Dominican Republic. JUST SO YOU KNOW I NEED TO CLARIFY THIS.
