are you saying that camobidians, malaysians, filipinos, indonesians polynesians are black because they have brown skin??, black people are related to those people of african descent not anyone who has a bit of dark skin. please im not racist, i just get annoyed when other races are ignored and then people with african american blood are highlighted more so than the other side. Tiger woods has more asian blood in him than african american, yet people especially the african americans claim him to be black. Im njot saying he is asian he is neither, but if he had to be claimed as a specific race then i say it should be asian rather than black.

actually tiger woods doesent really look that black, if he was walking down the street in thailand id have no reason to think he wasnt thai. Well about usher being half cambodian, i read that in some mtv magazine but i dont know how credible the scource is.

on one hand someone is saying tiger woods looks black so he should be called black, but in this case The Rock actually looks like a polynesian/malay type person and yet he is considered black. Firstly your are the dumb shit not me, in Pacific Asia or Oceania, there are many ethnic groups but to cut it down there is micronesians and polynesians, micronesians are the papua type people with negroid type hair, but polynesians are the straight hair more south east asian looking people. If you had heard on CNN a couple of weeks ago on one of the asian segments, the woman intervied tiger woods and he himself stated that he felt more asian than black and genetically he was.

now to all the people who havbe probably misunderstood me, i have nothing against black men, infact i have dated black men and i see all races as equal, i was just clarifying a point.

i just wandered here and whoa, i've gotta say something about us pacific islanders. we hate being lumped into the asian/pacific islander madness ! truly we do. my man the rock is a nice mixture of african-american(even if it is canada, it's still north america) and his momma is 100% samoan. he's welcomed as is he were all samoan! that's a good mix, i think. unlike hawaiians, speaking for my polynesian family from samoa,tonga,tahiti,fiji,rarotonga,aotearoa,papua new guinea,rapa nui, marshall islands, marqueses, etc., we are a separate race of folks than asians. please don't think i'm trying to cause a scene here. just stating the facts. and you probably wanna know what a nice samoan brother like me is doing scrolling thru this board huh? well, i get mistaken for a black male all the time. so, i'm just reaping some of the benefits from that! it's funny, ladies get all confused when i tell them i'm samoan. ( hee hee )

Hispanic is a term invented by white Americans to deny blacks and Asians equal opportunity. By including lighter skinned whites under Hispanics, more "white" people get Affirmitive Action fellowships and employment opportunities and keep other dark skinned people out. But, it is coming back to haunt them as this country is being filled with darker skinned (although not African) Hispanics. I am a Brazilian of Asian origin who dates mostly black men. I am also a US citizen. However, I am having this battle with the AA people...they have classified all my white friends from Brazil as Hispanic and hence they are eligible for AA opportunities...and although I am very dark skinned, the authorities say I am not eligible for any AA benefits because I am a overrepresented minority.

Therefore, Tiger Woods "IS" Black --- and technically, so is The Rock (even though he is light complected, like many African-Americans are)."

As far as I am concerned, those who are not white are black and the dictionary confirms this.

Applying the term "black" to East Europeans and Italians is a bit of a stretch. That speaks more about the bigotry of Anglo-Americans (the Daughters of Revolution kind) than anything else.

I am a South African Indian and I am dark. Anyone dark without curly hair or appropriate facial features these days is considered Middle Eastern. I am dark enough to pass for a black woman. I fought against apartheid, went to jail, was beaten up and then released and rearrested again. White girls in South Africa tried to make me white by painting me white because I strayed into the white area. The whites would like to forget that the majority of those who are sitting in Cuba and fought for the Taliban happen to be white. The Newsweek magazine featured a white taliban woman a couple of weeks ago...and she is living on welfare checks here in the USA.

Of course if the white public wants to beat someone up, they can always say whatever they want.
