In some ways jamaican man beat me to it but I want to state somethings explicitly. The notion of the "black man's image problem" is classic b.s. misdirection. The aim of that kind of thinking to place the onus of blame on Black men when actually the problem lies with whoever embraces that idea. For those of you who think Black men have an image problem (Claire and others that agree with her), post some details; what is the image of Black men? In addition, what are the images of other ethnic groups of men? Do they have image problems?

My thinking is that some people are CHOOSING to embrace negative views of Black men and are possibly choosing to ignore those of other ethnic groups.

That being said, those of you brothers that would like to have relationships with Asian women should not sweat women like Claire. It is probably more difficult for us being that a non-predjudiced Asian women is "truly a minority within a minority." (Heh heh!) But I think brothers are used to working twice as hard which from my experience can make it twice as nice.

You are so right man. I have learned a lot of Japanese so I can speak pretty good and that helps me a lot of times. I truly agree with you about those brothas that hook up with these girls and just screw them over. I totally don't like or disagree with that because it's wrong but mostly because a lot of them or most of them till think that we are like that. A lot of brothas do mess up and I agree that what Kamiyama and Yomuri said. A lot of brothas do mess up but what I had the problem with was just how you can say that MOST brothas are like that and try to make it sound better by saying oh but not all just most. What is most supposed to be the majority and so I got pissed off because she really doesn't know about black people so for her to say that most brothas are like that is wrong. I'm glad there are good brothas like you out there that have had good experiences in Japan. It's just that a lot of my experiences here in Japan have been discriminatory towards foreigners in general but mostly blacks. It's like if I walk down the street they will act so frightened and say how they are so scared of us. I don't know maybe because I'm so young I experience these things are see it a different way. But thanks a lot bra.

If Yomuri chooses to date white men over black men then why is she on this forum? That is ridiculous. This is a forum for BM & AFs' right? Then what is her point?
