Pretty much good communication, loyalty, trustful, loving, caring. Someone who likes to have fun. Who doesn't care what others think, because she's content with herself knowing that if she was with me, all that really matters is our happiness. Someone who doesn't mind being shown love, attention, and affection. That's some qualities.

Asian men are intriguing!
I wish I could find one! It just seems that an Asian woman is more apt to marry or date outside her race than an Asian man. I have seen more relationships between a Asian woman and another race. I just wish that the Asian men around me would work up the courage and try to a sista! I have no problem dating outside my race...why should you???

Your post should be entitled "How Can Self-Hating Black Women Win An Asian Man's Heart" or something to that effect. It appears you are too busy gloating about how you perceive yourself as being better than the average black woman that somehow you have forgetten who you are in the process. I guess that Ivy League education given you no common sense and somehow in the process you lost your sense of self-love and self-esteem.

I do not understand what you mean by the average black woman but the many black women I've met are strong independent women who are doing something wonderful with their lives. The independence doesn't mean they are unfeminine but rather they are no push-overs and overall confident women.

Actually, just last week, I went to a Women's Business Center meeting for women who want to start their own businesses in my area. Most of the women present were black women. Black women who strongly desires to start their own businesses from designing their own shoes to consultanting to healthcare type professionals and everything in between. It was really cool to see this. Therefore, Eban2, what is meant by the average black woman?

We, black women, have much to offer to the table in regards to relationships and do not need to settle for anything less than what we deserve. If any man cannot accept you for who you are, then he is not worth it. It seems to me your man got the better end of the deal and you have to keep yourself busy with keeping up with the high standards he and his family is placing upon you and on top of that putting down your own race in order to feel better about yourself. How pathetic!

Obviously, you do not value yourself enough to see yourself worthy of something more and I pity your new baby to come. What are you going to teach him/her, to hate their blackness and be proud of their Korean-American heritage?

I understand your point, but it wouldn't kill you to not sound so judgmental and calling her an "Idiot". That's one of ou problems as BW, we can't disagree with calling each other names and disrespecting each other.

True enough our beautiful BW should have more high self esteem, but try to be a bit more nicer, it wouldn't hurt to do that.
