I explained to my boyfriend that in my family it is rude to NOT introduce the person whom you are with. They have to at least meet them one time, so that they know who you are spending your days with. Once I said that and made a demand, he was very receptive. I totally love him for that. I do understand that it is different with his parents. Eventhough he is a VERY goodlooking guy(and he knows it) he still worries what my friends will think. I think he is just messing with me. In the back of our minds with both think we are novelties for the other. Anyways I am so glad to hear about the other latina/asian couples out there. My Korean hunny has definitely shown me the light. hehehe ciao

Man, I gots to agree with you. For all the Asian brothers on the East coast who want to experiment the Latin flavor but ain't getting any. I feel for you, but those Puerto Rican girls don't look all that good anyways. All I can say is someday come out to the West coast for a visit. Mexican chicks are hot!!! You don't know what you are missing!

OK, Mexican and Central American gals are more partial to Asian guys than Carribean Latinas.
What do you guys think of South American girls? They are more educated and European than either Mexican and Caribbean women. Especially Argentinian women. Most of them are pure Spanish, Italian, German descended. The ones I met were just as open to Asian men if not more so than the Mexican girls. And, with the bad situation in Argentina, the opportunity is good to find a desperate wife from there.
For Asian men:
Mexicans and Argentinians=YES!!!
Carribean Latinas=NO CHANCE!!! They prefer their own or US "big" black men only.

I disagree. Some Mexicans have girls who look like Penelope Cruz too. It ranges from lighter ones (looks Mediterranean) to Mextiza to dark (Aztec looking). They are all beautiful if they got the great body and know how to take care of themselves. They have finer hair and lips than the Caribbean Latina chicks.

I live here on the east coast and I dated couple of classy Puerto Rican girls. I get hit on all the time. Its all individual taste man. I have to admitt most puerto Ricans I come across aren't very classy and are ghettoized but there are few who don't fit this mode.
Puerto Ricans who come here to attend universities from Puerto Rico have total differnt mentality compared to ones born here, really.

And with what authority are you making these claims again?

What does having "afro" or "spanish" blood have to do with it? And what is "too much"? What are you trying to imply?
Just FYI, there is a genetic study that showed that as much as 70% of Boricuas have Taino blood in them in addition to Spanish and African. Our phenotyes span the whole spectrum, but maybe you are smart enough know this already.
Anyway, I'll grant you that Spanish influences have been stronger but African and Indian influences play an equally vital part of my island's culture. Without them, it wouldn't be Puerto Rican culture.
Also, it is untrue that there is no african blood in Mexico or Central America. It's just that they'd rather hide it as if it was a "dirty secret". It's been talked about in other forums, so I won't get into it deeper than this.
I'm not saying Puerto Rico is a racial paradise either, but personally I embrace and uplift the three cultures and races that make me a Boricua; they all make me proud.

I know a few nice latin people who are just as caring and good-mannered as the upper class (some are even nicer than the rude and stingy upper class!). However, because most latins are from the ghetto in NYC, their demeanor is somewhat cold and materialistically competitive. Some guys get jealous of another better-dressed with gold accessories. Women would size one another up implicating what-you-got-that-i-have-not attitude. Petty jealousy. i wish their parents would encourage them to do better for themselves instead of comparing have-and-have-nots so often. Otherwise, latin people (of NYC) are generally attractive looking.
