And please, no cologne on top of B.O...Cologne only brings out stale smells all the more.

girl:

Guys with a good cologne are sooooo sexy...if they have good taste in cologne and not put so much on.

If it grosses you out that much...it could be your nose.

you know what? I think perfume should be banned because people don't know how to keep it at a light touch. the other day when I was in a restaurant/bar at lunch and a woman came in and was seated at a table across the aisle, and her perfume was so strong, it was making me choke on my food. Now THAT's STRONG! it overpowered the grease in the burger joint, the cigarette smoke from the smoking section, and even my onion rings that were right under my nose. It was some fragrance that was similar to eternity (which I actually like, when it is light) but it was absolutely terrible. What's wrong with people??? why can't people just wash themselves and leave it at that.

and stop telling those young teenager guys that cologne is sexy! I have noticed that recently, young guys are even more frequently the worst offenders of cologne fumigation -- even worse than middle-aged/over-the-hill women!

Soap & Water is all you need!

Yeah...I know what you mean though..too much perfume is really gross and it makes me want to blow my nose...o_~

But I love perfume...just a little bit. I think it puts the whole outfit together in a sense...

I don't know ....

everybody --PLEASE --keep the perfume next to nothing. If I can smell it on you and I'm not hugging you, it's TOO MUCH!!

Lately, I've been feeling very sensitive to all fragrances, so please, ladies and gents, leave it at soap and water except for your special occasions! and even then, a light touch is MORE than enough!

I feel nauseous when I am on the subway and someone gets on with all their fragrances from all the products they just applied. It literally makes me feel sick.

anyone know of any company that makes the thigh high cotton socks from a few seasons ago (when they had the slutty school girl look) - I prefer them to real tights.
girl    Thursday, March 07, 2002 at 03:52:03 (PST)
I love stay ups. Does anyone know of any company that does a cotton/lycra blend of stay ups. (I know that sounds unsexy)

...I'm a hosiery FIEND. If a knee-high dress doesn't go w/ spiderwebs or fishnets.. I usually don't get it.

I also really love boots XD I'm looking to get thigh highs one day... I have a strange style myself. Not necessarily goth or anything else.. I could be wearing a black and red striped shirt with a black skirt and black and red striped stockings one day and then wear something completely prep the next. People say I wear "interesting" things. Which doesn't sound all that great but it's what I like.

Basically, I say the way you dress should immitate who you are or at least what you're feeling. If I'm especially lazy.. I wear cargo pants and a tee. Comfort comes first.

I sell shoes. Use oil-tanning cream. Saddle-soap and mink oil will work, too.

vietgrl. ur style sounds kewl-- hiphop exxtravagant. I'm not too into the preppy look on asians either cause as with the preppy look on ANYONE, it's boring and shouts out JCrew catalogue... but I have seen preppy pieces mixed with other pieces that make it look funky. That doesn't work for stuff that's high end tho-- can you imagine phat raver pants with a chanel Tshirt?? Tacky!
Anyway, I think asian girls who dress offbeat are the flyest.
As for my own style, I'm always improvising, it's part of the fun. Right now, I'm really addicted to my Steve Madden black leather boots (worn in just enough to be comfy, nice heel (not too chunky, not stiletto) that looks good with bootcut, lean hiphugger cords and jeans). I usually don't wear anything with a heel cause I'm short but skinny-- I look gawky. But I've never seen flat heeled boots I like. By the way, does anyone know how to take care of leather shoes? Should I polish? I want my leather to be matte, but black.
