Hey Mr "be real" nobody said that the Japanese league were the majors. Point being, in this case is that there were alot of players all over (Japan, Cuba, Negro league, just to name a few) with skills. and back in the day, before the late great Jackie Robinson. These players were not able to represent. Yes, the Major Leagues are the best of the best, its not until now that were starting to see our asian brothers getting their proper respect (as i stated earlier). Having said that, dude don't be a player hater

"Sarahara Oh played in the Japanese league, it ain't the majors. lets be real."

This was the first year Ichiro Suzuki played in the Major Leagues in the states. Before that, he kicked ass in Japanese baseball, but many critics (racists) claimed Japanese baseball was no match for American baseball, and predicted Ichiro to be overrated.

Well, Ichiro's first Major League season is over, and he sure proved to kick some ass in American baseball as well.

Dat Nguyen making the Pro Bowl? For a linebacker, the main factors considered for a Pro Bowl entry are the number of games started/played, the number of tackles for the season, and overall contribution to the team defense, both against the run and pass.

Let's compare Zach Thomas and Dat.

Zach started/played 15 games, is in second place for most tackles of all linebackers in the NFL (and Miami's lead tackler), and Miami's defense is 5th best in fewest yards allowed per game.

Dat: started/played 16 games, 19th place in total tackles (and the team's lead tackler), and Dallas' defense is 4th best.

Also, comparing Dat and Zach is good, because they are similar in size. Dat is 5'11", 243 pounds, and Zach is 5'11", 235 pounds.

So, for Dat to make a Pro Bowl, he would have to pump out more tackles in a game, as well as keep up his durability by playing 15 or 16 games. Having a decent offense would also help get more publicity.

Lets not forget about the real home run KING Mr. Sarahara Oh. With all due respect he has more then who we call the "home run king" Hank Aaron. Real glad to see our asian brothers getting their proper respect in the major leagues as well as the other 3 major sports (basketball, football, hockey).
Hey, Michele Kwan we all know the last time it was all about the "color" the gold was yours. This time the gold is out there for you to get, so go get it. Just remember we (asian americans) got your back. JUST DO IT.

I wonder if Dat will be able to make the Pro Bowl next year? The 'Boys'll have to make the playoffs for him to have a good chance. BTW, was it a typo on ESPN or did Zach Thomas have 22 tackles in the playoff game against the Raiders? 22? In one game? That's crazy!
