i agree with hakka - guy. when china can bring guards to the nba with success, then china b-ball may approach parity. but for now...bring on the 7 footers!

i hope ishii wins 20 and strikes out
200.
when china can put a point guard in the
NBA that's when they'll be a forced to
be reckoned with. because, point guard
requires a certain amount of training.

Check out Richard Park of the NHL's Minnesota Wild.
He's pretty solid backup player and an Asian-American to boot. OK fine, he was born in Korea, but moved to LA when he was a young un. Then he moved to Canada to find legit competition for ice hockey. He's the second Korean in the NHL.
The first was Jim Paek who was instrumental in Pittsburgh's Stanley Cup run in the 1991.
Why does Dicky Park get no mention in the Korean media or the Asian-American media??? He's pretty good.

The Truth, "Brotha"
While i agree with most of your post, i certainly do not agree with your last statement about pure black coming from Nigeria.
As someone with both Nigerian and Chinese parentage and born in England, i know a lot more about Nigeria than you. My point is that not all Nigerians have pure African blood!
there are loads of Nigerians with mixed background like mine and some due to the British history in Nigeria. There are Blacks as light skinned as Alicia Keys and as dark skinned as Eddie Murphy in Nigeria, but the vast majority are certainly dark skinned!
Jordan Lee colour me bad!

To H-Town Brotha,
I agree with you that there is way more blacks in pro sports than Asians, but I disagree with you that blacks are better than Asians at sports because of genes. The real truth is Asians simply doesn't take sports seriously, it's just a past time. Most Asians concentrate on their education so they could go into a post-secondary school and get a good job, while blacks-who are mostly from the ghettos-play sports all day because they have nobody presuring them to do good acadamically. White people as well, most fathers dream of their sons having a career in a sport because they weren't successful at it themselves, although some are successful, most end up failures. Seriously, how many Asian teens did you see with parents that pressured them to get into the MLB or NBA? Not many, or any at all I bet. I'm sure if Asians wanted to, they could be among the elites in the top four pro North America sports leagues in the next 20 years, but I think if that happens there'd be a few less Asian businessmen, scientists, etc. By the way, when you mentioned about Asians having to include mixed people as their own race, will, so does blacks, many top black athletes are mixed-Jeter, Jason Kidd, just about all the good hockey players, and many more are all mixed. If you knew your background you'd know most blacks have some sort of non-black blood in their genes, many blacks from Jamaica have Chinese as part of their background (it's true, a Jamaican social scientist major told me so), that's why many blacks have Asian eyes, and many born in America have white blood in them, so the pure blacks would probably be Africans from places like Nigeria or something.
