WHAT YOU SAY
[This page is closed to new input. --Ed.]
Geez, I only came here to post about a Filipino NFL player and I get this crap about "my asian ethnic group is the best because..."
Who gives a f***. Do you all think it really matters to someone who's not Asian? Remember, we all look alike to *them*.
Anyways, anyone here ever hear of Roman Gabriel?
If any of you want to stop bickering about which Asian race is the biggest d***, check out

AAX,
The beauty of sports is that people of all races are smashing our racial prejudices by winning in sports dominated by other races. Blacks have excelled in men and women tennis (Arthur Ashe and the Williams sisters), golfing (Tiger Woods), and figure ice-skating (Bonaly). East Asians are excelling in eating contests (Kobayashi), tennis (Michael Chang), basketball (Yao Ming), baseball (Ichiro), soccer, and weightlifting. Australian aborigine Cathy Freeman won Olympic gold in the 400 meters. These people are heroes for tearing down the walls of prejudices, and I salute them. Your racist theory does not work out in real life. Most successful East Asian athletes have very ordinary and even slim physique. In addition, some of the best ethnic Chinese athletes are southern-type, i.e. Michael Chang, Michelle Kwan, Yao Ming, Bruce Lee, etc., and not the stocky, hearty, fat-faced Mongol type, who are virtually absent in the athletic world.
Your playing the race card is inappropriate and more importantly, misleading. Should you insist in playing the race card with me, you lose because you don’t have a clean ace, since it is impossible to state a singular origin of the Korean people, given its mutt-like origin. Nonetheless, we know that the original inhabitants of the Korean peninsula are an Australoid people, the remnants of whom can be seen on Cheju Island. The Japanese and Korean languages still have an Austronesian imprint. On top of that, the Korean people are an impure mixture of Tungusic barbarians, Han and southern non-Han Chinese. Its language is equally mixed with a vocabulary based mostly on Chinese. Most Korean surnames have a Chinese equivalent. Nowadays, linguists classify Korean as an isolated language, too uncertain and convoluted to be classified.
In spite of its mutt-like origin, Korea is primarily based on Chinese genes, language, philosophy, and culture. Thus, Korean DNA is closer to the Chinese than say the Mongols. There is simply too little that is Tungusic in Korea, whether genetics, linguistic, or otherwise. Notably, Korean people are rice-eaters like southern Chinese, whereas northern Mongoloids, such as Beijing Han Chinese, Manchurians, and Mongols, are not.

All this talk about which Asian nationality is most "macho" or wins the most "manly" sports is pointless and ridiculous... about who wins the most Olympic medals or per capita. Who is better in soccer, baseball, basketball, boxing- B.S.!! Should I say Turkish men are more macho and manly than any Asian man (just because in this year's World Cup, Turkey defeated all the East Asian nations- China, Japan and South Korea). It would be ridiculous for me to say so. What's the point?
Turkey Is The Most "Macho" ???

Get over it, man! Why all this in fighting? So, people are writing that Koreans men do better in "macho" sports than Chinese men. So, are you going to make a stupid assumption that when you see some Chinese guy (yes, even a Southern Chinese guy), that you are automatically going to be better than him in some "macho" sport. I'm not just bashing Koreans, I think it would just as pathetic if some Chinese guy or other nationality makes such stupid assumption.
Do not assume, do not presume!

REAL FACTS,
"B. Lee, my point is China's basketball is NOT world class, best in Asia doesn't translate into world class."
That's not what you originally said. Your original statement was, "On the international stage China's baskeball team SUCKS!!!!". You then further went on with your wrong facts to say they suck, not merely they are not world class.
If you're going by the name REAL FACTS, then using real facts to point out your wrong information is all fair game. BTW, I am Korean American. Mabye you're from Asia, but I'm in America, where Asians of all nationalities are all considered the same. For the time being and the sake of the Asian American community, I'm not into fighting over different Asian nationalities.

Skariah sheik
You don't see any Filipino or Vietnames because they'aren't good at any sports so they have nothing to brag about.
And the Chinese are just jealous because little country like Corea does so well in "re-al man-ly" sports while they excel in " sissy" sports.
Maybe they are also mad at Coreans for supporting Turkey over China in the World Cup. Hey why shouldn't we, Turkey sent thousands of soliders during the Corean war to help us fight the commies including communist China. Again in September china will outperform all Asian countries in the Asian games but see how many medal will be from "real" sports instead of crap like table tennis.
But we'll plummel you again in boxing, Taeknowdo, wrestling, etc.

Telling it...
Well said. Asian guys need better representation in the sports that are seen as real guy sports. Given gymnasts are in great shape and it's hard work, but it is far from the epitome of manliness.
We should be proud that each Asian country has given or will give Asians a better image in the more prominent sports. Corea=soccer, Japan=baseball, China=basketball.

i don't think we should be arguing who
is better chinese, koreans, japanese, or taiwanese. the fact is we are all
related we are east asians. when one
country does well we should all rejoice. if we got together, we could
be BAD (that's bad as in really good).
if we got together the whole world will
tremble.

and on a separate note: During the Olympics, China lost to France by a score of 82-70 (making the margin less than "like 40 points)...that supports my statement that Real Facts is in fact mentally retarded.

Regarding Myong Rhi (Michael Rhi), this North Korean 7-8 giant is still not able to play in the NBA due to political reasons. The Boston Celtics were trying hard to sign him, but have basically given up hope. The problem to his entry into the NBA is that he is now 28 years old and the NBA's interest is shrinking due to the uncertain situation with North Korea.
TO the idiot who said why can't Korea produce one single 7-footer, you obviously don't keep up on Asian sports. Also, Menk Bateer is ethnically Mongolian. That explains his bulk. In essence, it's not as if China is producing 7-footers easily. With a huge population, China should have even more taller players.
TO the Korea basketball-haters, please note Korea won the men's gold in the Asian games not too long ago. Chinese are not the dominators you posters are making them out to be.

The Final Word, I was merely defending the integrity of my cultural constituency. They were the instigator, while the Chinese were the victims. Read the past posts. And look, I haven't even said any names...how accomadating of me?
Real Facts (a real retard):
The French Olympic basketball team was the second best...that's why they played in the finals against the United States in 2000.
The Koreans still ordain superiority. I'd be satisfied just settling for being equals, but they seem to have their avarice eyes set on something higher.
The korean soccer team is the best in Asia and I can admit that. They have better baseball players. But can you just cut it out with that pound-for-pound superior crap?
