To the uninitiated, the incident occured on 1992 Little League was all about 1 player who's a year older than the required age limit and also half of the players did not live in the city district.

I was at Long Beach when this was happened. They actually won but stripped off the title.

In the year 2000, the traditional All-Girls Little League softable had once again made another scenario. Philippine All-Girls Team forced to forfeit the game since the Santa Cruz Valley, AZ fielded 5 boys due to lack of American Girl participants. Now, do you think that's fair?

They can change the laws whenever they want for their own advantage.

Chitown Depressant,

Seeing two fighters getting knocked out in Univision is a lame excuse. It shows how far you will go just to make excuses. That's not even close to HBO or Showtime. Those fighters don't have the same experience as the Filipinos who fight in Showtime and HBO.

Pacquiao was the only fighter to have destroyed Ledwaba, the African Jr. Featherweight champ who many thought was invincible, handing him his first loss to steal the championship by a devastating knockout. He showed all of that in Pay Per View baby. Not bad for a fighter who just moved up two weight classes in two fights. Not to mention how Luisito Espinosa, former two time WBC champion knocked out Kennedy Mckinney in HBO, the only man to have defeated Junior Jones twice in a row. He knocked out the man silly who knocked out the man who many analysts regarded as one of the greatest present featherweights. He did all of that at the tender age of 34, which is old in boxing age to defend his title for seven years. Age caught up with him, thus retiring one year later. Even after his retirement, he was rated number 3 by the WBA.

I took Tae Kwan Do. I must admit that I was surprised that they rated it number 5 among the top 10 martial arts. Yeah, it should have been higher. My master, grandmaster Kim was one of the best so I have no disrespect about Tae Kwan Do at all. I did have a problem with a couple of his assistants though who weren't even Koreans nor Asians, but blacks and whites who wouldn't know how to instruct even when their lives depended on it. He was a busy man so he instructed his students personally like once or twice a week.
When I stated that I learned more in the handbook that the master gave me than through the teacher, I was refering to the main assistant not to the master.

Take it easy, dude. Tae Kwan Do is just too popular. Judo, on the other hand, is another planet of its own.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is too identical to the Japanese version with some added so called new tricks. Jiu Jitsu is Jiu Jitsu. If you don't still agree with Kung-Fu being the #1 art then who's stopping you. Your opinion is your opinion. I'm just refering to the poll and program I saw in the Discovery Channel called "The Top Ten Martial Arts." It really doesn't matter what discipline you use. It is how you use it. That was one of the common adages my master always used. Kung-Fu is just more secretive, especially those that are the deadliest. As you all know, many Chinese masters were very angry with Bruce Lee during the nineteen sixtees for teaching non-Asians Kung-Fu. Much of that attitude still remains today. They forbid competition for that reason and should only be used in time of need and desperation.

Those Chinese Kung-Fu movies are designed to give the chinese audience more show. Actual Kung-Fu is much faster and much more effective when used properly. Ask any respected master of any discipline and he'll tell you that he has no comment or simply don't know.

Muay Thai is very deadly. I can't argue with that. I've always dreamed of seeing the underground fights in Thailand when I was child, which is deadlier than those featured in ESPN.
But then again, I was just a kid.

Rocky,

Why are Chitown and C-web talking about Asian games while in fact they should be talking about the coveted World Titles, WBC, WBA, and IBF? Afterall, Boxing's just a sport.

Brook Lee, Ms Universe back in the late 90's was American of Corean-Hawaiian descent. You know what no other Asian countries make a big deal of beauty peagants like the Philippines, you know why? Rest of Asia are busy developing adn processing, its always the poor countries that has their priorities messed up. Countries like Philippines,Columbia, Venezuela, Puerto rico, looks like you're in good company.
Koreans, Chinese... we all support one another.

We don't see blacks segregating themselves by Nigerian vs the Egyptians... I see a strong Nationalistic feelings rather than embraceing the Asian cultures within a community and endorsing, sponsoring their local sport activities so that we can get the name recognitions like the other races.
Yoon Dong Jin
What the hell are you talking about dimwit? American blacks aren't segregating among themselves because most don't even know where in Africa their ancestors were from, stupid. And don't tell me African blacks don't stay way from American blacks. Don't go up to an Egyptian and say , you are black, see what kind of response you'll get.
ChanHo Park, leaving LA was a big mistake, was endorsing Nike. I don't think 10 million a year or so is given to bench warmers. What do you call Ichiro, a major star. He's going to get paid mega bucks when he renegociate.
Obviously you know jack shit.

Dude,
yeah ok, I'll take your word for it since Discovery channel rated Kung Fu as number one. I mean they are the experts, right? I'll try not to piss off any bald headed dudes with funny Shaolin outfits doing graceful ballet like moves. I wonder if they can tolerate my mace? Its not like ducking a bullet. hehe
I resent the term "Brazilian jujitsu" its Jujitsu periold. Why are these arrogent Gracies calling it that? If it wasn't for a Japanese master who taught it to old man Gracie, he would of gotten his ass kicked all over the streets of Brazil.

when was the last time a Chinese was crowned the World Champion in boxing in any class? How about a gold medal in wrestling? Judo? Taekwondo?
SHUT YOUR TRAP BITCH! A Chinese can't afford to diss Coreans in any of these events. Stick to ping pong.

***You can look in the last Asian Games website (Bangkok) (http://www.sadec.com/Asiad98/Pages/Event9.htm),and you can see an example that filipinos and thais and other asian delegates gained good results as good as korean boxers, in collecting medals. And koreans didnt dominate wrestling or judo either. And I remembered that 2 golds were won by the chinese in wrestling (lightweight) and women's judo in the sydney olympics.I really hope this korean idiot won't say shitty things abt how glorious his race is when koreans don't really dominate asian or world level sports. Look at the medal tally of the asian games and olympics. Were they any better than the chinese? Besides, koreans suck in athletics (besides men's marathon perhaps)but remember, a chinese female athlete won the gold for women's marathon in sydney.koreans sink in the swimming events, they suck in gymnastics, they don't have good divers, they suck and lost in basketball, volleyball, etc. How can yo claim koreans are the best athletes in asia? dream on, you can stick to your kimchi-daydream and make believe.

Lmao.... Oh, how we've regressed on this board, looking at some of these posts. Do some Filipinos have inferiority complexes or what? They seem to realize that Koreans are the best athletes in Asia so they start commenting about beauty pageants and singing contests. What a laugh.
But since we're on the subject, did you guys notice that the Filipinas that won those beauty pageants that you spoke about were mixed-breeds with apparently a lot of caucasion blood in them, what you guys call meztisas(The Spanish word for a mixed-breed)??? They did not represent the true look of the indigenous people of that region. Whether Filipinos have caucasion blood in them or not, it's debatable if they're even Asian. Many Filipinos don't consider themselves Asian. I've personally heard Filipinos say this while they patronize "Asians".

It's a fact that Koreans on average are the biggest of all Asians and therefore the most formidable in athletics.
Most Filipino and Vietnamese guys I see are like 5'3". Aside from the one region in Northern China that borders Mongolia which has produced players like Wang ZhiZhi and Yao Ming, Koreans are definitely bigger than Chinese and Japanese also. It's very common for me to run into Korean guys these days that are 5'10", 5'11", and even 6' and taller. I almost never run into guys from other Asian nationalities that tall- Fact!!!!!!!!
Chitown Depressant    Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at 18:18:24 (PDT)
Yeah, best DJ's that Americans can have are the World Turntablism Champions Filipino-Americans. Sadly, no Korean names there again. What have you contributed to your country aside from arrogance? This is all about domination and competition right? no matter what field.

So what's the fuss about beauty pageants? Coz your country never won? Is that so? I can smell the sour grapes your eating. As sour as the vinegar. Oh, I know, sadly Male Koreans are known for being sexists.

And why you didn't comment about the most winningest Asian country in Singing Competition/Songwriting Composition? eh? What are you gonna do now? huh? Are you that embarrassed? Are you on selective reading my dear? or Did you want me to list all Filipino International Singing Champions? I'll give you one example:
*** JOSEPHINE "BANIG" ROBERTO - International Star Search Grand Champion indirectly defeated Britney Spears, Leanne Rhymes and Christina Aguilera.

oh my god! you filipinos are so pathetic! what is wrong with you guys? are you soooo desperate????
Oh come on "star search?"
"best DJ's in Asia?"
You people really are sad. I hope Rocky and Educator are not the examples of most Filipinos.
Sad day in the Philippines.    Wednesday, August 14, 2002 at 17:22:28 (PDT)
Reality bites,

Dude when was the last time a Korean won a Thai Muey event. Don't you get the point of my post.

Different sports, different culture, different emphasis in where sponsorship goes.

And what's wrong with table tennis, batminton, and pistol shooting as sports. You think you could beat any of them in competition.

I trained for a spot on the USA TKD team. Most athletes don't go walking thinking what nationalities when they compete. You think I was concerned if my opponent was korean american at a State competition. Or I would take it easy on a kid from Spain who came to our dojang. Or if Olympic Coach Master Han Kwon Lee cared I was Chinese American when he trained me. Or any of the other national TKD coach cared I was an USA national when they gave me the opportunity to train with them.

More like losers like you who never even trained with olympians and international athletes that has no idea what he's talking about.

The women ROC TKD team did pretty well in internatioal TKD events, if your looking for a Chinese counter examples. I think one of the ROC women I trained with was a bantam or fly weigh gold medalist in the '88 olympic games when TKD was still considered an exhibition event.

Sure the spectators love to root for their respective nations. But to an athlete that just a distraction and noise. It's not you guys have cuts bleeding, bruises swelling, and muscle aching after a TKD competition.

And when I was referring to that Korean boxer I really felt bad for him, if you mis-interpreted my post. I know I would be pissed off too if I was living in a spartan olympic villiage and their freaking bus was late and my chances, no matter how slim for gold, was totally eliminated.

Educator/Rocky,

You write that you are referring to the "arrogant" Koreans here need to grow up. Chitown and I are not the ones spewing all kinds of useless nonsports-related crap on this board.

Secondly, how can we be considered arrogant when we started off by merely stating fact. We simply stated that Koreans are the best boxers in Asia. I didn't say the best in all the world.

You are the one that is being totally insecure and defensive. When you started antagonizing Koreans on this board, that's when I struck back.

When you say that a "SLAP could hurt so damn bad to find out the truth that you lied to yourself", that refers to you more than us. Nobody on this board has stated Filipinos are the best boxers in Asia, but yourself and no one has agreed with you on this topic. Even though I don't know Chitown, he and I and others who came on board later all know the simple fact that Koreans are the best boxers in Asia.

You apparently have a problem with accepting this truth. I suggest you accept your fellow Filipino countrymen for what they are and not what you wish them to be. We can't help it if they suck in sports or that the economy is crap even though there is no real obstacle for the country to achieve some economic success. Even YOU don't have enough time to gather info that will prove otherwise.

Accept the truth even though it hurts you loser.

To educator,

Dude, posting all of this nonsense about filipinos isn't going to change the fact that the Phillipines suck in sports. Push your BS propaganda in a forum that actually cares.

Educator,

Go and educate yourself in English. If you didn't notice, this is supposed to be about sports. Mr. Editor, pleae make sure this illiterate person stops posting all of these irrelevant posts here.

Great points Yoon, you're a reasonable Asian (Am) and you think in term of unity instead of individualistic and nationality, and I'm sure there are many more like you. It just unfortunate that a few loud and foul mouths that stand out in these type of discussion. As for Yamaguchi and Kwan, I think they have won everything there is to win in their sport, except for the Olympic in Kwan case. Of course having said that, I think having "the look" and "ability" will carry you a long way in any endeavor. You hit the nail on the head on your assessment of Tiger, but actually I don't think he promotes his blackness that much either. I could be wrong on this, but I think he's not getting the love from both Asians and blacks ... well not to the level that he should be getting.
