I would love to meet a Japanese guy. I think the way Japanese guys look is so exotic, yet has a familiarity. But in my circle of friend(ABC's), it is so hard to meet someone who is Japanese American. Japanese tend to stick to one another and so do the Chinese. How do I cross that invisible line?

Currently, I'm seeing a Japanese guy and we have a pretty good relationship. I don't know what the attraction is, since he's Japanese and I'm Vietnamese/Chinese. All I know is that my guy is very sexy.
Sometimes he'll tell me that in Japan women are expected to serve their man and that some members of his family still believe in that. But he doesn't have the same expectations for me cause he's very Americanized.

i personally think there is naturally chemistry between japanese guys and chinese girls. physically japanese guys seem to have what chinese girls want, and vice versa. personality-wise, too, chinese girls seem to dig japanese guys' laid-back attitude and twisted wit. japanese guys seem to really like chinese girls' openness and playfulness.

what's missing is for some people to come out and say this out loud. come on! if you like someone, you just do, and that's cool. if japanese guys and chinese girls find one another attractive, that's cool, too -

Well the JA's I've seen in California (LA, SF) have generally been lightskinned, and slim/trim. The JA men i've seen have also been at least 5'9 or so (some a lot taller, some shorter, but not by much. I've seen many a clean-shaven Japanese male, some with goatees which are cut fashionably trim, not long. And what's this about "wierd features"?? A lot are pretty attractive, but of course there are those that are not good looking in every race. Big eyes, small eyes...I see both pretty regularly. Where do you live in California anyway??

wow, there are Japanese males that posted here that find Chinese females to be really attractive! I'm surprised! I'm a Chinese Taiwanese female, and well, I tend to find Japanese and Korean males really attractive, but I have this idea set in me for some reason that they wouldn't find me attractive because I'm Chinese. I haven't dated any Japanese or Korean males, only Chinese males. When I come across them, even though I'm attracted to them, I tend to shy away and not talk to them, even though i'm generally a pretty outspoken person. Perhaps this is because in highschool, I had a crush on a Japanese guy, and well he asked me if I was Japanese, and I said no, then he told me that he only dates Japanese girls.

i'm a chinese-american female, and my boyfriend is japanese-american. we've had a pretty good relationship so far, but occasionally we argue because i feel that he can be insensitive and selfish at times. he claims that he is just "being japanese" and that all japanese men act like that, but i don't feel that he should blame his ethnicity for the way he acts...you know?

This whole topic is a trip. I am half Chinese, half Japanese (most people think I'm Filipino), but I've been involved with girls from a lot of other ethnic groups -- except Japanese and Chinese. The nicest girls I ever dated were Okinawan, though. I think we're fortunate to live in a world where the walls aren't a big deal any more.

My sister is married to a really cute Japanese American man. He is a third generation Japanese American who, until his generation, lived in Hawaii. He claims to be 100% Japanese but when he grows a beard, it is kind of sandy brown/blonde. It's the strangest thing. Is he Okinawan (i.e., is that why)? Or is it something else?

Just an observation. (I'm a Chinese female.) There seems to be a pattern here: A LOT of Chinese females seem to be crazy about Japanese men, but Japanese men do not seem to have much of an interest in Chinese females. How does that make Chinese girls feel? Do Chinese girls even notice this?
