Of course most American women would prefer the circumcised penis -- that is all they know and are used to! But if you lived most anywhere in the rest of the world which is 80% intact, you would think that a circumcised penis looked weird. It's all culturally relative. And a dildo is modeled after an erect penis, not necessarily a circumcised one. You can't tell the difference between the two when both are erect, in case you didn't know.

You are wrong if you think that male circumcision does not have any detrimental effects. And it is indeed wrong -- it's ethically wrong when you carry out such a painful and unnecessary surgical procedure on an infant who has no conscious choice on the matter. No doubt, female circumcision is a human rights violation, but don't think that male circumcision is fine.

i do not think that male circumsion is wrong. It does not hurt anyone and there are not problems that can occur with it. But I do think that female circumsion is wrong. The after effects of thost procedures are horrible and it needs to be stopped.

I think circumcision is really just a preference, some people just like the way it looks, they find the uncut penis ugly looking. As a uncut asain I can honestly say its great when masturbating due to the extra skin, theres no need for any type of lubricant except my own. :)

By the way, it's also medically proven that masectomy prevents future incidences of breast cancer. And if i chopped off your foot, you also would never have to worry about athlete's foot, corns, etc. It's idiotic narrow-minded logic like this that makes me laugh. So let's circumcise every newborn baby boy so there will be no chance that they ever have any problems. Never mind what kind of problems these may be or how rare they are. Let's just amputate the foreskin without second thought and without consideration to the person it's attached to. Let me ask you this: If circumcision is so great then why not let everyone make that choice for themselves when they are older, say a teenager or young adult when they can at least think it through? What's wrong with giving someone an actual choice?

I used to think I was a freak when I was younger thinking that I was the only guy that had foreskin on my penis and that I wasn't circumsized and "normal" like all the other guys I knew. As I got older I eventually learned about circumcision and felt a little better knowing that all guys start off like that. But even after I used to wonder if I should get circumsized even as an adult. I used to wonder much about this topic and assumed that most chicks dug the cut ones more. It's good to know that it's sexy to some of you gals out there. My mind is finally at ease and now know to just leave it as is. Thanks for the support.

It is medically proven that the circumcission prevents diseases like phimosis and paraphimosis. More over now circumcission can be done under local anasthesia and it is safe. A circumcised penis is cleaner and less prone to infection. About the loss of sensitivity... its all bull shit.

If one looks at the definition for the word MUTILATE, one dictionary calls it "to injure, disfigure, or make imperfect by removing or irreparably damaging parts". If the male genitalia as thought of as complete at birth, then circumcision certainly changes it and the above definition describes the way that some males believe the genitalia has been affected. The anti-circ proponents like the strength of the word mutilate to counter the dynamic of circumcision, having become a status symbol of a higher class, a cosmetic motification to make the penis "pretty", and an easy route to keeping it supposedly clean. In contrast, the two other words - Uncut and Intact, have a similar dilemma. Uncut implies something has not been done (circumcision) which should have been done, while when the same condition is described as Intact it connotates the fact that the penis owner simply still has all of his genitalia complete.

Give me a man with a foreskin any day. circumcision is the mutilation of an integral part of a male's anatomy. My husband is a doctor and an uncircumcised Asian man. I've often asked him about circumcision if we have kids and he says he wouldn't do it. As long as you educate your male children on good hygiene there is no reason for it. I can't imagine how it could possibly be linked to cervical cancer unless many men who aren't circumcised aren't maintaining good hygiene. And as for the sexual enjoyment issue, I climax before my husband almost every time. Women are rarely going to climax by penetration alone anyway, so who cares if a circucized man can last longer. I'm sure dildos are modeled after a circumsized penis because it would be much harder to make one with a foreskin that moved.
