chines cdn girl:
a couple of hints for the mod look:
1. hair that has not been washed. Take a shower before you try this look if you are going out, but just run water through your hair!
2. a fine toothed comb to tease your hair with! comb your hair by holding pieces straight up and from the ends to the roots.
3. shape your hair in place by spraying a brush with hairspray and running it lightly through your hair. Aim to brush just the surface so you still have the body but with a nice smooth looking surface.
4. If you have very thick, dense "asian" hair, I'm not sure if this will work. But try it and see. Good luck!
luv, your fine haired (but pro-mod look) comrade.

I think that Asian women are routinely dressed and made up in caucasian products. I believe Asian and African Americans find it hard to find clothes and makeup geared to our unique skin tones. Most products are geared towards the caucasian race leaving other ethnic people to blend many colors just to make up a color suited for our faces.

old glamour girl,

Have you tried Vogue retro patterns? They've got stuff from the 30s thru '60s. Some of them look very difficult tho.' (But take w/ a large grain of salt from someone who can't sew!)

I like pastels. Black will always be popular though because it is so versatile.

I love the way they dressed in the old hollywood movies

Black is the best colour because:
1) it's slimming
2) it hides dirt
3) it matches everything
4) it doesn't go out of style
5) looks good on almost everyone
6) always tasteful --even at weddings
7) it's easy to maintain

why the vibrant colours(including red!) will never replace black as a staple:
- the opposite of the all the above
and it's just too loud!!!

BLack is that popular!!!! You all are crazy! Red! Red! Red! It is the most stunning color on Asians. As a matter of fact any bold color like aqua blue, purple, or hot pink are spectacular!
I also hate overly conservative styles! why look like a grandma when you posess a cute figure. whatever
